My Experience At The First Time
Sitting in class for the first time, it was half of what I expected. I expected to sit by people I didn't know, learn about old things in new lights, and
writing a lot of papers. What I didn't expect was me hating college. I am not as creative as some teaches would like, but that isn't my personality, and I
dint want it to be either. I fully expected college to try and morph me into a perfect little student that I knew I wasn't. College so far to me hasn't been
fun and I will treat it like Wal–Mart. When I say that, I mean that I will get in and get out as fast as possible. If I pick up stuff along the way then
alright, but if I don't, then it won't kill me.
Now, this doesn't mean I don't enjoy certain things about college. I enjoy some of my classes and I like that the campus has a variety of plants. I also
like that it has some nice people and is accompanied with a Student Bible Center. Many people say I just need to loosen up, get over it, or try to get in
organizations around campus. This may be true when talking about some students, but not me. I know exactly who I am and what I like and I for
one do not like joining organizations, I am not a loose person and I never will be, and I have already gotten over that I don't like college.
I have read a lot of material in college and very few of them were interesting. I have learned a lot of old things in new light in history and some
material taught me to ignore different people. Now, that may not have been the purpose of

When I was around 17 years old, I worked at a daycare for low–income children called Kingdom Children. I was in charge of a group of school–aged
children. My main priority was to ensure they were safe and provided for while they were there. However, my second duty was to help the students
with homework, teach them new skills, and mentor them. Aside from babysitting, it was my first experience teaching and working with children. I
remember it being very difficult at times but also rewarding. Many of these kids had difficult home lives and behavioral problems. There were times
when I needed help, but I learned a great deal from seeking help. I realized a support group was crucial, and fortunately, I had a great one. I also

My First Experience At Orientation
My first experience at orientation was Dean Groves' stately voice in Old Cabell Hall giving an unforgettable speech about the future role of the
class of 2019. The calmness and excitement he brought to the incoming class while he spoke was indescribable. He made me and everyone else
feel as though we had a purpose and could make UVA a better place over our time here. When I asked my friends at other schools in Virginia what
they thought about their Dean of Students, they could not even recall the dean's name let alone his or her influence on the students. The students of
UVA are thankful to Dean Groves for the effort he puts in to connect with us and for the influence he has on our experience here. There is obviously
a large difference between Dean Groves and the faculty at other schools, so what is it about his personality that makes him so popular with the student
body and community in Charlottesville? I used the Big 5 model of personality to examine Dean Groves. This test is made up of five factors –
extraversion, neuroticism, agreeableness, conscientiousness, and openness. Groves agreed to take the NEO–IPIP, which is a free, online version of the
Big 5 test. A colleague of his also agreed to take the test as if she was he. The purpose of the colleague taking the test was to attempt to control any
self–report bias that could have occurred on Groves' own results. They both completed the shorter version of the test, which is composed of 150
questions. Groves and the

My First Experience At Giving Birth
My First Experience at Giving Birth
Life seemed to have ended just as it was starting. One of my greatest wishes in life was to become a mother, a nurturing, caring, patient, self gratifying
responsibility. Every time I interacted with people and every time I saw other ladies with their sons and daughters, I admired to be like them because I
love children.
However, I did not know the kind of journey that was ahead of me because I thought giving birth was just an easy task. And before realizing that I was
pregnant, I was so nervous because I thought something might have been seriously wrong with me. For days I had been throwing up and I couldn't pin
point the reason why, although I did miss my...show more content...
Although it was a hard decision to make I knew in my heart I was doing the right thing.
During my pregnancy I felt like a queen and everyone in my family was very supportive. However, my joy suddenly turned into sadness as time
elapsed and my expected delivery date was drawing near. During pregnancy, I was very careful in everything I did to protect my unborn infant. I
kept imagine the kind of joy my unborn child would bring me and my child 's father after giving birth. I even visited a nutritionist for advice on the
type of diet I should intake because I did not want to compromise the delivery of my unborn child in any way. So I followed the doctors orders
which was to take my prenatal vitamins every day as well as my iron pills three times a day and avoid any strenuous activity such as exercising
/ lifting anything heavy. I also became more cautious in the things that I ate because some of the fish that I was eating contained mercury which could
have be harmful to my unborn child, and eating hot sauce was giving me heart burn and indigestion. Besides that, all sweets that I had been eating
was making me gain and excessive amount of weight which was causing my ankles to swell. So I cut out all the unhealthy food that I was eating
because my aimed was to make sure that nothing would prevent me from having a safe delivery.
At the time I tried not thinking about having my first child at seventeen

10 Things I Wish I Knew Before First Year
If you're reading this, you have chosen Schulich as home for your undergraduate career. Congratulations! Schulich may have been your dream school or
you might have made a tough decision amongst the other top business schools in Ontario. If you're still wondering whether you made the right decision
or not, stop. Class of 2019, you won't regret this!
The steepest learning curve you will ever ride is in your first year of university. Here are the top 10 things I wish I knew before my first year at
Schulich.
1.Enrol in courses as soon as possible! Since first year encompasses core courses, predominantly, you are spared most of the decision making in
course selection. However, don't undermine the importance of enrolling in your courses early. If you are not a morning person, procrastinating on
your course enrollment can be the source of your misery for an entire semester. Consider this a warning! If you think you can handle a few long days,
maybe you can even pull off a schedule with 2 or 3 days off like I did.
2.Go to class. After a few weeks you may think that you're not benefitting from a lecture and are better off staying home or at your residence to
self–study. While it may be true that some material taught in class can be substituted by simply reading the textbook, nothing substitutes having an
instructor in class for questions, tips and suggestions for exams and assignments. Remember, you are paying a hefty tuition for your

My First Experience With Reading And Writing
My first experience with writing and reading was in the sixth grade. I wasn't much of a good writer but was an excellent reader, I would read books,
magazines, articles, almost anything that had words in it. Writing wasn't my strongest subject I always had troubles in delivering the message or moral
of the essay. Throughout my middle school years and beginning high school years I didn't really do much writing or effort until my final year in high
school. As I gave you a brief summary of my experience with writing and reading I will later on elaborate more on my experience with writing and
reading and explain how this experience mad me a better writer. As I mention earlier I wasn't much of a good writer throughout my middle school
years and

My Experience At My First Semester
Do Not Neglect to Reflect Over the past eighteen weeks, I have put my best foot forward to launch my college career. My time in English 111 not
only helped me grow as a writer, but as a student as well. Now that the semester has nearly ended, it gives me an opportunity to reflect on my first
semester as a college student. From my participation and performance in the classroom, to my progress as a writer, to the processes I used to
complete my assignments, I can learn from my experiences to grow as I continue my college education. As far as class participation goes, I feel
that I did well, but I could still improve on my overall participation. This semester was the first where I had to balance both work and school.
Despite working a night shift, I willed myself to be present in class. Throughout the entire semester, I was absent only one day. My attendance was
definitely not an issue for me this semester. Also, I came to class prepared. I made sure I had all of the materials I needed for class. The only
problem I had with the participation this semester was my engagement in class. When I would come into class, I would usually be just waking up.
By not being fully awake, it was hard for me to be engaged during class. In the future, I will not have to change much in terms of participation. One
thing I could do is wake up an hour before class, instead of the latest possible time, so I allow myself to have some time to get fully awake. That way, I
will hopefully become more

My First Day Of Swimming Experience
I will never forget my first day at swim practice. When I was younger (around age three) I remember going to the YMCA for swim lessons, but my
first day at practice wasn't anything like that. At they YMCA I got to take individual lessons that were not crowded at all, but at my first swim
practice, when I was nine, there were many people waiting eagerly to get into the pool. By the time we got in the pool there were at least eight people
in the same lane as me. As excited as I was to go to my first practice being on a swim team, I felt like my lane was overcrowded. It seems like every
single lap I did somebody was touching my feet or I was touching somebody else's feet. As I finished my warm up swim, I looked at the other lanes to

As soon as I left the clerk of coarse to go to my lane, I was a bit nervous, but I was more happy. After a minute passed, I was next! I watched the
person in front of me swim and then got on the block. The announcer said "girls nine and ten twenty–five yard freestyle. Take your mark, Go!" I dived
in the water and swam my heart out to the point where I was huffing and puffing at the end. I got out of the pool and waited for my next event which
occurred later on in the meet.
After the last event the meet had ended, and it was official that our team had won! I was very happy. I showed up to practice the next day,
wondering what the coach was going to tell us. I was in my swimsuit and swim cap with my goggles waiting to start swim practice. That was when
I realised that if we win the meet, instead of having a serious practice, we have free swim. I was very happy, but didn't know what to do. Before I
had a chance to think of something to do, Coach Sara called us over and talked to us. I forgot what we talked about, but I remember her saying to us
"I absolutely love y'alls laugh, when you laugh together." At that very second, it was a little awkward, but Ashley, Meghan, and I both started giggling
which made coach Sara laugh. By the time my sisters and I finished our very giggly

My Experience At First Semester
The first semester of my college is almost end, I felt confused and helpless when the class begin, there were all kinds of tasks that need me to do at
the short time, my life was in a mass and I was just busy with keeping myself don't left behind the class. At first, I felt so depressed about my
expression in university because everything is so strange for me, while during this semester, with the help of people around me, I gradually get used to
the new study life and feel more confident for the next semester. Thanks to the WPC101 class that helps me a lot on knowing what the business college
need me to do. I did learn a lot at first semester. First and the most important things that I think I learned is that time–planning which helped me
organized the time well which dragged me out of the mass life, at least I know what I need to do and never forget and late for the homework. In
my opinion, organized time well is important no matter on study or in lives which can always inform us what we need to do and what time is
available for us to do other things that make life more orderly. Besides, I also learned how to use resource that afford by school. Before the
facilitator told me those resources, there had so many things that I have no idea who could help me. After knowing this, I felt like open a door that to
a continent life for me. I have to say that there have so many resources for me in school, I can do anything with the help of them and which really
makes me feel easy

In my first year of high school, I overcame my anxiety of being independent. All my life since the elementary school, there had always been someone
telling me exactly what I should be doing, where I should be going, what needs to be done, and how to get things done. This was especially apparent in
elementary and middle school. Students walk together in an assembly, go to lunch as a class, play together during recess, have interactive conversations,
and pack up together at the end of the day. Eventually, high school started and everything changed. I was expected to become independent. This
concept was new to me and made me anxious. Sooner or later, I had to overcome the fear of being alone. Being dependent of others during school had

I struggled to find my classes and eventually ended up asking for help from several different people. I was reluctant at first because I didn't like
asking for help, but I also didn't want to be tardier than I already was. I eventually did find my classes and I remember the relief of seeing the door
numbers matching the numbers on my schedule. Unlike middle school where students were grouped together, navigating through high school was a
significant difference.
On the first day of freshmen year, lunch period was the most confusing time of day. First off, I didn't have any idea where the lunch room was and
my classmates were going in different directions, which didn't help me at all. Apparently, different classes have different lunch periods, meaning it
wasn't definite if I would see my friends. And once I got into the cafeteria, I didn't even know where to stand for the lunch line. In elementary and
middle school, there was only one line with one line of food choice. But here I saw four different lines with different food choices. After a moment
of confusion, I did end up getting my food and finding a place to sit. I didn't even worry about finding my friends since I saw several people not
paying attention to anyone either. I saw many people who didn't even get lunches and that humored me. I just thought to myself they didn't know which
line to get in and were probably more confused than I. The noise

My Teaching Experience Essay
When I first come to Saint Cloud High School, I was uncertain of how I would fit into the world of education as a teacher, in fact, this was my
first teaching practice. After completing a few observations, I changed my view and recognized my teaching abilities. I was able to learn many
different things that will be helpful to me when I become a certified teacher someday. Although I could face many possible challenges in the
classroom, I have many of the strengths it takes to be a good teacher. There were many times during this field training that gave me a broad idea of
how the ordinary life of a teacher would go. Similarly, I got a profound sense of how the classroom environment is for most instructors. In general, I
believe this was a pleasant experience for me, and I learned a lot in such a brief period.
The educational unit I executed has an element of my instruction beliefs that students should connect and relate theme content to real life situations
inside and outside the teaching space. Therefore, during my teaching experience, I feel compromise and responsible for meeting my students' needs and
that is why I included many visuals aids and plenty of flexible activities. Hence, this unit involved a mixture of student and teacher–centered strategies
such as direct instruction, drill and practice of the unit vocabulary, lectures, dialogues, question and answer sessions, discussions with exchanges of
opinions and perspectives, discovery learning events and presentations

How To Read: My First Experience
My first experience of reading 'How to see the word' I couldn't quite get my head around how this all relates, in the big picture of things to my place
here at Massey. Revisiting what I had missed, I found a deeper understanding of what I couldn't quite understand at first. This book gave me a useful
and insightful experience for something I never really took the time to understand. Reading the introduction I was able to grasp what we have been
learning in my Fine Arts Degree. About critical engagement with space in an environment and the change within this visual material. It is also the
perspective in the wider world of thing which Nicholas Mirzoeff is trying also saying especially in visual cultures within the wide range of my social

Looking at a piece of art is a highly subjective process, in which the individual can find how to unjumble the puzzle of the Visual Image. All of this is
improved my overall view and engagement with art works in a gallery. I feel as though something that relates first–person is easier to unpick than on
social media, whether or not if I like and art work or think it terrible. I found this out when we were at the Wellington Art Gallery by the way
people interact with an art work and how the study it is really interesting. I honestly think that not many people understand what makes a great
exhibition and how to understand the work that fills a gallery. This was important with the Cindy Sherman exhibition I was able to look critically at
her work. Today there is a completely different culture towards understanding art in a gallery, and it is so easy to see what people think of an art
work such as Cindy Sherman. For me when we visited the gallery I had a feeling of disconnect around the room, as though people around me weren't
fully with what was being put in front of

My First Job Experience
My First Job Experience "Winning is important to me, but what brings me real joy is the experience of being fully engaged in whatever I'm
doing." says Phil Jackson, a former American professional basketball player. People always whine about how their first job experience was terrible
and there's only one reason which is not getting enough amount of money for their work. I think people need to think that job is not always about
money as I discovered from my first job. About three years back, I had just turned sixteen and had finished 10th grade so I was enjoying my summer
vacation just like other kids enjoying their summer vacation after a long school year. One day, my mother said I should get a job. She said it would

The workplace was always very clean, which also created a nice environment around me to focus on my work. That's really a good thing because a
nice working environment keeps me safe, healthy, and gives me more energy to do my work. This company was also very well organized. I feel I
was one of the lucky one who got a job in very nice and organized company. I received a good salary, had a nice working environment and was given
respect by other employees which were really amazing despite being the youngest employee. When I entered in this job, I knew nothing. I was
completely inexperienced and unskilled worker but after working here, this job helped me to improve my working skills such as how to
communicate with people around me, never try to be hypocrite, stay calm and focus only on my work. Having a job also taught me to value my
own work, and what I put into something. As my mother said, this job also taught me how to handle my responsibilities by myself. I became
responsible for some of my own expenses. This was a valuable experience for me. I learned the value of the money and taking my own decisions
about what I spend my money on. On Short, I feel that if a person works just for the sake of money then there's no point of working. Yes, money is
important but no person can enjoy the work if that person is only working there for the sake of

Background I do not remember very much from my first work experience. I was the co–owner of a lemonade stand with my aunt at age 5. We set up
on the corner of my grandma's street, which was right next to where the city was doing some road work. We did not make a lot of money, but this
was essentially the first time I "worked" for money. From this experience, I learned that a smile and a positive attitude go a long way. My next work
experience came when I was around 14 at my stepfather's flooring company. I have been working there for about 6 or 7 years now. I have learned a
significant amount from working here. For years I planned on taking the company over but this summer I realized that I'm not passionate about it and
could not spend years working there. Though I do not want to work there long term, working at my stepfather's company has taught me a lot about
owning and operating a company. I have learned a lot about interacting with people– customers, suppliers, and people that want to bring you down. It
has been a truly unique experience because I have seen the company grow and I have grown up with it. Also, since coming to LMU and studying
business, I'm seen as more of a supervisor and leader. I have implemented a few changes that have greatly improved the efficiency from what I have
learned in various classes I have taken so far. I also worked briefly in the LMU library and quit after one semester because my supervisor barely
acknowledged my existence and

My First Time Taking An Online Class
This semester was my first time taking an online class, it was nerve wrecking at first I am proud about how well I transition from the traditional
class room setting to this. Going into this class I knew that there was going to be a lot of writing being that it was an English course. I expected to
ease though and not spend so many amount of hours on assignments. I expected it to be better structure and for all of my peers to participate in the
class. For example when we had the first professor, it was chaos trying to find a partner to do a peer review with. Many of the students were not as
active in the course as they should have been. Now, that it has come down to the last week I'll say I'm pretty satisfied with how the class turned
out. Getting a new professor was good because even when the old professor was still over the course he was not nearly as active as professor
Mustachio. I will be taking another online line class this fall semester. I am not sure if it is going to be a lot of writing if so I feel that this class as
prepared me for what I should and should not expect.
When it came time to do writing assignments essays in particular. I would always start out by drafting my ideas on paper. Listing out all the options that
I could think of to go with the particular assignment. Then begin to write out my entire essay on paper before typing. Unfortunately it is hard for me to
carry out this plan to its entirety. I always stop writing and just type and often I do not

First Work Experience
The scent of fresh waffles, sound of radio pop music, light from the open sign. Just another long day at work. Everything is just like the usual. Restock
utensils, greet customers, take orders, collect payments, and clean up. At seventeen, wanting to save up for my post–secondary tuition, I decided to
work a part time job alongside school. I thought that not only does it give me money, it can also give me valuable work experience. Working at a part
time job sounds like a perfect opportunity for me. However, after this experience, my perspective of working in the service industry completely
changed.
This was my first real job. After expressing my concerns about post–secondary tuition, my high school friend referred me...show more content...
As time went on, things slowly started to get better. With my improved work habits, I slowly began to catch up on school. Also, I began to know my
coworkers better, and I get to spend more time with my friend there. Moreover, after knowing how the store functions and learning all the menu items,
the work became easier as well. I started to really enjoy this job despite getting some wrist injuries from scooping ice cream.
Then, something happened. It was near the end of my 11–hour shift on a Sunday. It was quite busy as it was a hot summer night. The line was almost
to the outside of the door while there was only two of us working. A man and his son walked in. They stood there and stared at the menu for a while.

and are willing to change the order. This was not the case.

My First Ramadan Experience
My First Ramadan Experience "Greetings! We inform you that the Ramadan moon sighting wait has ended and the first fast for the following

Also, it is more than not eating or drinking anything." It took a long time for me to satisfy my mom; however, I was allowed to start my first fast.
Furthermore, my first Ramadan experience taught me more than not eating or drinking for a religious value; in fact, it disclosed me to a book of
principles to live by, making family unity, patience and consistency, and respect and contribution a part of my individuality.
It was overwhelming for me to see the whole family together, crowded around the television, possessing the same amount of excitement. "The US
will be starting their fast at the start of sunrise", stated the man. I had fallen asleep, listening to the news. Next thing I knew, I awoke to the sounds of

My Experiences Of My First Learning Experience
Before the start of this fall semester, I never pondered about what kind of a learner I was. I never questioned why I experienced things the way that
I do and never analyzed my life experiences and how they have shaped me as an individual. The coursework that we have been working on this
semester allowed me to take a step back, and realize how I have grown in recent years. A quote that I find I can relate my experiences too, is a quote by
John Dewey. He states, "Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself." I found that through my more recent educational experiences,
the lessons that I learned were not in the classroom, but were in fact within my day to day life. It was through this that I was able to really discover
what I have been able to learn as an individual, and how I apply those lessons to my life today. Through this course, I have found that I am an
experiential learner. The vast portion of my learning comes from experiencing things in the moment, and lessons that I can take away from these events.

My First Semester Experience

  • 1. My Experience At The First Time Sitting in class for the first time, it was half of what I expected. I expected to sit by people I didn't know, learn about old things in new lights, and writing a lot of papers. What I didn't expect was me hating college. I am not as creative as some teaches would like, but that isn't my personality, and I dint want it to be either. I fully expected college to try and morph me into a perfect little student that I knew I wasn't. College so far to me hasn't been fun and I will treat it like Wal–Mart. When I say that, I mean that I will get in and get out as fast as possible. If I pick up stuff along the way then alright, but if I don't, then it won't kill me. Now, this doesn't mean I don't enjoy certain things about college. I enjoy some of my classes and I like that the campus has a variety of plants. I also like that it has some nice people and is accompanied with a Student Bible Center. Many people say I just need to loosen up, get over it, or try to get in organizations around campus. This may be true when talking about some students, but not me. I know exactly who I am and what I like and I for one do not like joining organizations, I am not a loose person and I never will be, and I have already gotten over that I don't like college. I have read a lot of material in college and very few of them were interesting. I have learned a lot of old things in new light in history and some material taught me to ignore different people. Now, that may not have been the purpose of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. When I was around 17 years old, I worked at a daycare for low–income children called Kingdom Children. I was in charge of a group of school–aged children. My main priority was to ensure they were safe and provided for while they were there. However, my second duty was to help the students with homework, teach them new skills, and mentor them. Aside from babysitting, it was my first experience teaching and working with children. I remember it being very difficult at times but also rewarding. Many of these kids had difficult home lives and behavioral problems. There were times when I needed help, but I learned a great deal from seeking help. I realized a support group was crucial, and fortunately, I had a great one. I also learned about various Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. My First Experience At Orientation My first experience at orientation was Dean Groves' stately voice in Old Cabell Hall giving an unforgettable speech about the future role of the class of 2019. The calmness and excitement he brought to the incoming class while he spoke was indescribable. He made me and everyone else feel as though we had a purpose and could make UVA a better place over our time here. When I asked my friends at other schools in Virginia what they thought about their Dean of Students, they could not even recall the dean's name let alone his or her influence on the students. The students of UVA are thankful to Dean Groves for the effort he puts in to connect with us and for the influence he has on our experience here. There is obviously a large difference between Dean Groves and the faculty at other schools, so what is it about his personality that makes him so popular with the student body and community in Charlottesville? I used the Big 5 model of personality to examine Dean Groves. This test is made up of five factors – extraversion, neuroticism, agreeableness, conscientiousness, and openness. Groves agreed to take the NEO–IPIP, which is a free, online version of the Big 5 test. A colleague of his also agreed to take the test as if she was he. The purpose of the colleague taking the test was to attempt to control any self–report bias that could have occurred on Groves' own results. They both completed the shorter version of the test, which is composed of 150 questions. Groves and the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. My First Experience At Giving Birth My First Experience at Giving Birth Life seemed to have ended just as it was starting. One of my greatest wishes in life was to become a mother, a nurturing, caring, patient, self gratifying responsibility. Every time I interacted with people and every time I saw other ladies with their sons and daughters, I admired to be like them because I love children. However, I did not know the kind of journey that was ahead of me because I thought giving birth was just an easy task. And before realizing that I was pregnant, I was so nervous because I thought something might have been seriously wrong with me. For days I had been throwing up and I couldn't pin point the reason why, although I did miss my...show more content... Although it was a hard decision to make I knew in my heart I was doing the right thing. During my pregnancy I felt like a queen and everyone in my family was very supportive. However, my joy suddenly turned into sadness as time elapsed and my expected delivery date was drawing near. During pregnancy, I was very careful in everything I did to protect my unborn infant. I kept imagine the kind of joy my unborn child would bring me and my child 's father after giving birth. I even visited a nutritionist for advice on the type of diet I should intake because I did not want to compromise the delivery of my unborn child in any way. So I followed the doctors orders which was to take my prenatal vitamins every day as well as my iron pills three times a day and avoid any strenuous activity such as exercising / lifting anything heavy. I also became more cautious in the things that I ate because some of the fish that I was eating contained mercury which could have be harmful to my unborn child, and eating hot sauce was giving me heart burn and indigestion. Besides that, all sweets that I had been eating was making me gain and excessive amount of weight which was causing my ankles to swell. So I cut out all the unhealthy food that I was eating because my aimed was to make sure that nothing would prevent me from having a safe delivery. At the time I tried not thinking about having my first child at seventeen Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. My First Year Of University 10 Things I Wish I Knew Before First Year If you're reading this, you have chosen Schulich as home for your undergraduate career. Congratulations! Schulich may have been your dream school or you might have made a tough decision amongst the other top business schools in Ontario. If you're still wondering whether you made the right decision or not, stop. Class of 2019, you won't regret this! The steepest learning curve you will ever ride is in your first year of university. Here are the top 10 things I wish I knew before my first year at Schulich. 1.Enrol in courses as soon as possible! Since first year encompasses core courses, predominantly, you are spared most of the decision making in course selection. However, don't undermine the importance of enrolling in your courses early. If you are not a morning person, procrastinating on your course enrollment can be the source of your misery for an entire semester. Consider this a warning! If you think you can handle a few long days, maybe you can even pull off a schedule with 2 or 3 days off like I did. 2.Go to class. After a few weeks you may think that you're not benefitting from a lecture and are better off staying home or at your residence to self–study. While it may be true that some material taught in class can be substituted by simply reading the textbook, nothing substitutes having an instructor in class for questions, tips and suggestions for exams and assignments. Remember, you are paying a hefty tuition for your Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. My First Experience With Reading And Writing My first experience with writing and reading was in the sixth grade. I wasn't much of a good writer but was an excellent reader, I would read books, magazines, articles, almost anything that had words in it. Writing wasn't my strongest subject I always had troubles in delivering the message or moral of the essay. Throughout my middle school years and beginning high school years I didn't really do much writing or effort until my final year in high school. As I gave you a brief summary of my experience with writing and reading I will later on elaborate more on my experience with writing and reading and explain how this experience mad me a better writer. As I mention earlier I wasn't much of a good writer throughout my middle school years and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. My Experience At My First Semester Do Not Neglect to Reflect Over the past eighteen weeks, I have put my best foot forward to launch my college career. My time in English 111 not only helped me grow as a writer, but as a student as well. Now that the semester has nearly ended, it gives me an opportunity to reflect on my first semester as a college student. From my participation and performance in the classroom, to my progress as a writer, to the processes I used to complete my assignments, I can learn from my experiences to grow as I continue my college education. As far as class participation goes, I feel that I did well, but I could still improve on my overall participation. This semester was the first where I had to balance both work and school. Despite working a night shift, I willed myself to be present in class. Throughout the entire semester, I was absent only one day. My attendance was definitely not an issue for me this semester. Also, I came to class prepared. I made sure I had all of the materials I needed for class. The only problem I had with the participation this semester was my engagement in class. When I would come into class, I would usually be just waking up. By not being fully awake, it was hard for me to be engaged during class. In the future, I will not have to change much in terms of participation. One thing I could do is wake up an hour before class, instead of the latest possible time, so I allow myself to have some time to get fully awake. That way, I will hopefully become more Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. My First Day Of Swimming Experience I will never forget my first day at swim practice. When I was younger (around age three) I remember going to the YMCA for swim lessons, but my first day at practice wasn't anything like that. At they YMCA I got to take individual lessons that were not crowded at all, but at my first swim practice, when I was nine, there were many people waiting eagerly to get into the pool. By the time we got in the pool there were at least eight people in the same lane as me. As excited as I was to go to my first practice being on a swim team, I felt like my lane was overcrowded. It seems like every single lap I did somebody was touching my feet or I was touching somebody else's feet. As I finished my warm up swim, I looked at the other lanes to see if...show more content... As soon as I left the clerk of coarse to go to my lane, I was a bit nervous, but I was more happy. After a minute passed, I was next! I watched the person in front of me swim and then got on the block. The announcer said "girls nine and ten twenty–five yard freestyle. Take your mark, Go!" I dived in the water and swam my heart out to the point where I was huffing and puffing at the end. I got out of the pool and waited for my next event which occurred later on in the meet. After the last event the meet had ended, and it was official that our team had won! I was very happy. I showed up to practice the next day, wondering what the coach was going to tell us. I was in my swimsuit and swim cap with my goggles waiting to start swim practice. That was when I realised that if we win the meet, instead of having a serious practice, we have free swim. I was very happy, but didn't know what to do. Before I had a chance to think of something to do, Coach Sara called us over and talked to us. I forgot what we talked about, but I remember her saying to us "I absolutely love y'alls laugh, when you laugh together." At that very second, it was a little awkward, but Ashley, Meghan, and I both started giggling which made coach Sara laugh. By the time my sisters and I finished our very giggly Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. My Experience At First Semester The first semester of my college is almost end, I felt confused and helpless when the class begin, there were all kinds of tasks that need me to do at the short time, my life was in a mass and I was just busy with keeping myself don't left behind the class. At first, I felt so depressed about my expression in university because everything is so strange for me, while during this semester, with the help of people around me, I gradually get used to the new study life and feel more confident for the next semester. Thanks to the WPC101 class that helps me a lot on knowing what the business college need me to do. I did learn a lot at first semester. First and the most important things that I think I learned is that time–planning which helped me organized the time well which dragged me out of the mass life, at least I know what I need to do and never forget and late for the homework. In my opinion, organized time well is important no matter on study or in lives which can always inform us what we need to do and what time is available for us to do other things that make life more orderly. Besides, I also learned how to use resource that afford by school. Before the facilitator told me those resources, there had so many things that I have no idea who could help me. After knowing this, I felt like open a door that to a continent life for me. I have to say that there have so many resources for me in school, I can do anything with the help of them and which really makes me feel easy Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. In my first year of high school, I overcame my anxiety of being independent. All my life since the elementary school, there had always been someone telling me exactly what I should be doing, where I should be going, what needs to be done, and how to get things done. This was especially apparent in elementary and middle school. Students walk together in an assembly, go to lunch as a class, play together during recess, have interactive conversations, and pack up together at the end of the day. Eventually, high school started and everything changed. I was expected to become independent. This concept was new to me and made me anxious. Sooner or later, I had to overcome the fear of being alone. Being dependent of others during school had ...show more content... I struggled to find my classes and eventually ended up asking for help from several different people. I was reluctant at first because I didn't like asking for help, but I also didn't want to be tardier than I already was. I eventually did find my classes and I remember the relief of seeing the door numbers matching the numbers on my schedule. Unlike middle school where students were grouped together, navigating through high school was a significant difference. On the first day of freshmen year, lunch period was the most confusing time of day. First off, I didn't have any idea where the lunch room was and my classmates were going in different directions, which didn't help me at all. Apparently, different classes have different lunch periods, meaning it wasn't definite if I would see my friends. And once I got into the cafeteria, I didn't even know where to stand for the lunch line. In elementary and middle school, there was only one line with one line of food choice. But here I saw four different lines with different food choices. After a moment of confusion, I did end up getting my food and finding a place to sit. I didn't even worry about finding my friends since I saw several people not paying attention to anyone either. I saw many people who didn't even get lunches and that humored me. I just thought to myself they didn't know which line to get in and were probably more confused than I. The noise Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. My Teaching Experience Essay When I first come to Saint Cloud High School, I was uncertain of how I would fit into the world of education as a teacher, in fact, this was my first teaching practice. After completing a few observations, I changed my view and recognized my teaching abilities. I was able to learn many different things that will be helpful to me when I become a certified teacher someday. Although I could face many possible challenges in the classroom, I have many of the strengths it takes to be a good teacher. There were many times during this field training that gave me a broad idea of how the ordinary life of a teacher would go. Similarly, I got a profound sense of how the classroom environment is for most instructors. In general, I believe this was a pleasant experience for me, and I learned a lot in such a brief period. The educational unit I executed has an element of my instruction beliefs that students should connect and relate theme content to real life situations inside and outside the teaching space. Therefore, during my teaching experience, I feel compromise and responsible for meeting my students' needs and that is why I included many visuals aids and plenty of flexible activities. Hence, this unit involved a mixture of student and teacher–centered strategies such as direct instruction, drill and practice of the unit vocabulary, lectures, dialogues, question and answer sessions, discussions with exchanges of opinions and perspectives, discovery learning events and presentations Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Then I learn how to spell like A P P L E for apple. Learn an alphabet is fun thing that I can learn. I also learn from the alphabet song. • 13. How To Read: My First Experience My first experience of reading 'How to see the word' I couldn't quite get my head around how this all relates, in the big picture of things to my place here at Massey. Revisiting what I had missed, I found a deeper understanding of what I couldn't quite understand at first. This book gave me a useful and insightful experience for something I never really took the time to understand. Reading the introduction I was able to grasp what we have been learning in my Fine Arts Degree. About critical engagement with space in an environment and the change within this visual material. It is also the perspective in the wider world of thing which Nicholas Mirzoeff is trying also saying especially in visual cultures within the wide range of my social sciences...show more content... Looking at a piece of art is a highly subjective process, in which the individual can find how to unjumble the puzzle of the Visual Image. All of this is improved my overall view and engagement with art works in a gallery. I feel as though something that relates first–person is easier to unpick than on social media, whether or not if I like and art work or think it terrible. I found this out when we were at the Wellington Art Gallery by the way people interact with an art work and how the study it is really interesting. I honestly think that not many people understand what makes a great exhibition and how to understand the work that fills a gallery. This was important with the Cindy Sherman exhibition I was able to look critically at her work. Today there is a completely different culture towards understanding art in a gallery, and it is so easy to see what people think of an art work such as Cindy Sherman. For me when we visited the gallery I had a feeling of disconnect around the room, as though people around me weren't fully with what was being put in front of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. My First Job Experience My First Job Experience "Winning is important to me, but what brings me real joy is the experience of being fully engaged in whatever I'm doing." says Phil Jackson, a former American professional basketball player. People always whine about how their first job experience was terrible and there's only one reason which is not getting enough amount of money for their work. I think people need to think that job is not always about money as I discovered from my first job. About three years back, I had just turned sixteen and had finished 10th grade so I was enjoying my summer vacation just like other kids enjoying their summer vacation after a long school year. One day, my mother said I should get a job. She said it would teach me how to...show more content... The workplace was always very clean, which also created a nice environment around me to focus on my work. That's really a good thing because a nice working environment keeps me safe, healthy, and gives me more energy to do my work. This company was also very well organized. I feel I was one of the lucky one who got a job in very nice and organized company. I received a good salary, had a nice working environment and was given respect by other employees which were really amazing despite being the youngest employee. When I entered in this job, I knew nothing. I was completely inexperienced and unskilled worker but after working here, this job helped me to improve my working skills such as how to communicate with people around me, never try to be hypocrite, stay calm and focus only on my work. Having a job also taught me to value my own work, and what I put into something. As my mother said, this job also taught me how to handle my responsibilities by myself. I became responsible for some of my own expenses. This was a valuable experience for me. I learned the value of the money and taking my own decisions about what I spend my money on. On Short, I feel that if a person works just for the sake of money then there's no point of working. Yes, money is important but no person can enjoy the work if that person is only working there for the sake of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. Background I do not remember very much from my first work experience. I was the co–owner of a lemonade stand with my aunt at age 5. We set up on the corner of my grandma's street, which was right next to where the city was doing some road work. We did not make a lot of money, but this was essentially the first time I "worked" for money. From this experience, I learned that a smile and a positive attitude go a long way. My next work experience came when I was around 14 at my stepfather's flooring company. I have been working there for about 6 or 7 years now. I have learned a significant amount from working here. For years I planned on taking the company over but this summer I realized that I'm not passionate about it and could not spend years working there. Though I do not want to work there long term, working at my stepfather's company has taught me a lot about owning and operating a company. I have learned a lot about interacting with people– customers, suppliers, and people that want to bring you down. It has been a truly unique experience because I have seen the company grow and I have grown up with it. Also, since coming to LMU and studying business, I'm seen as more of a supervisor and leader. I have implemented a few changes that have greatly improved the efficiency from what I have learned in various classes I have taken so far. I also worked briefly in the LMU library and quit after one semester because my supervisor barely acknowledged my existence and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. My First Time Taking An Online Class This semester was my first time taking an online class, it was nerve wrecking at first I am proud about how well I transition from the traditional class room setting to this. Going into this class I knew that there was going to be a lot of writing being that it was an English course. I expected to ease though and not spend so many amount of hours on assignments. I expected it to be better structure and for all of my peers to participate in the class. For example when we had the first professor, it was chaos trying to find a partner to do a peer review with. Many of the students were not as active in the course as they should have been. Now, that it has come down to the last week I'll say I'm pretty satisfied with how the class turned out. Getting a new professor was good because even when the old professor was still over the course he was not nearly as active as professor Mustachio. I will be taking another online line class this fall semester. I am not sure if it is going to be a lot of writing if so I feel that this class as prepared me for what I should and should not expect. When it came time to do writing assignments essays in particular. I would always start out by drafting my ideas on paper. Listing out all the options that I could think of to go with the particular assignment. Then begin to write out my entire essay on paper before typing. Unfortunately it is hard for me to carry out this plan to its entirety. I always stop writing and just type and often I do not Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. First Work Experience Essay First Work Experience The scent of fresh waffles, sound of radio pop music, light from the open sign. Just another long day at work. Everything is just like the usual. Restock utensils, greet customers, take orders, collect payments, and clean up. At seventeen, wanting to save up for my post–secondary tuition, I decided to work a part time job alongside school. I thought that not only does it give me money, it can also give me valuable work experience. Working at a part time job sounds like a perfect opportunity for me. However, after this experience, my perspective of working in the service industry completely changed. This was my first real job. After expressing my concerns about post–secondary tuition, my high school friend referred me...show more content... As time went on, things slowly started to get better. With my improved work habits, I slowly began to catch up on school. Also, I began to know my coworkers better, and I get to spend more time with my friend there. Moreover, after knowing how the store functions and learning all the menu items, the work became easier as well. I started to really enjoy this job despite getting some wrist injuries from scooping ice cream. Then, something happened. It was near the end of my 11–hour shift on a Sunday. It was quite busy as it was a hot summer night. The line was almost to the outside of the door while there was only two of us working. A man and his son walked in. They stood there and stared at the menu for a while. As they decide for what they want, my co–worker and I work fast "I want these two flavours!" The child demanded. The father smiled and agreed. He came up to me and ordered the two flavours in a kid's cup. However, our store policy only allows one flavor per cup, so I apologized and explained this to him. Normally, customers are understanding of policies and are willing to change the order. This was not the case. "You cannot say no to what a kid wants", he causes a scene while a huge line of customers is waiting behind him impatiently to be served. He continued to yell and reason. "Look I am the customer and it is your job to give me what I am ordering" "Don't make it hard for her" other customers who were watching jumped in. • 18. My First Ramadan Experience My First Ramadan Experience "Greetings! We inform you that the Ramadan moon sighting wait has ended and the first fast for the following countries will take place in a couple of hours...", exclaimed the newscaster. The news report was continuing to inform listeners of the differing dates for the start of the holy month. I questioned eagerly, "Mom, can I please fast?" I'm nine years old now. "Honey, fasting is a day –long commitment. Also, it is more than not eating or drinking anything." It took a long time for me to satisfy my mom; however, I was allowed to start my first fast. Furthermore, my first Ramadan experience taught me more than not eating or drinking for a religious value; in fact, it disclosed me to a book of principles to live by, making family unity, patience and consistency, and respect and contribution a part of my individuality. It was overwhelming for me to see the whole family together, crowded around the television, possessing the same amount of excitement. "The US will be starting their fast at the start of sunrise", stated the man. I had fallen asleep, listening to the news. Next thing I knew, I awoke to the sounds of my mom making our special breakfast specials, consisting of 'Halwa', 'Parathas', eggs, and tea; it was time for 'Sehri', the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. My Experiences Of My First Learning Experience Before the start of this fall semester, I never pondered about what kind of a learner I was. I never questioned why I experienced things the way that I do and never analyzed my life experiences and how they have shaped me as an individual. The coursework that we have been working on this semester allowed me to take a step back, and realize how I have grown in recent years. A quote that I find I can relate my experiences too, is a quote by John Dewey. He states, "Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself." I found that through my more recent educational experiences, the lessons that I learned were not in the classroom, but were in fact within my day to day life. It was through this that I was able to really discover what I have been able to learn as an individual, and how I apply those lessons to my life today. Through this course, I have found that I am an experiential learner. The vast portion of my learning comes from experiencing things in the moment, and lessons that I can take away from these events.
