Our contemplations and activities are impacted by other individuals, regardless of whether we are latently watching their conduct or effectively
agreeing to their solicitations. Persuasion is a type of social impact in which a group of people is purposefully urged to receive a thought, mentality, or

Example Of Persuasion Analysis
My fiancГ©e coworker has taking advantage of her kindness and shes letting them get away with it because shes not a confrontational person so at
first I let it go by but she starts complaining about it but she don't want to say something about it at work she told me she was being nice to them but
why theyre being rude to her I said you are using a just–world hypothesis the tendency to believe that the world is a fair place and that you get what
you deserve I knew I need to use a persuasion. I told her you got to speak up for yourself, they are being nasty to you because they misinterpret
your kindness as being dumb and I've been telling her when someone push you you have to pushed back you need to stand on your ground don't
let anybody to bully you and now she said she's speaking up for herself when someone is being rude to her but ofcourse I reminds her that if they
don't bother her anymore or they stop showing aggression a threatening behavior intended to hurt others then don't feel prejudice, to have negative
attitude towards other She change her attitude since I made her change it it wasn't easy to change her because she thinks it will make her look like a

Yes because making examples and connecting it to your life and putting the definition to your own word it's a hardwork and if you didn't read the
book you wont be able to do it.
–Did you like writing this paper? Was it better than taking a test?
Yes because this is very engaging activity I started using the terms and knowledge that I just learned from this

Analysis Of A Strong Persuasive Speech
What is a strong, persuasive speech? According to Boundless, a persuasive speech is defined as a "specific type of speech in which the speaker has a
goal of convincing the audience to accept his or her point of view." (Boundless, 1) The speech is organized in a particular format– to try to convince
the audience to accept all or part of the writer or speaker's view. Although the person delivering the speech could be the writer and/or speaker, for
this essay, the subject will be referred as the writer. There are a few key persuasive factors that a writer can use to develop a strong, persuasive speech
– audience analysis, and Aristotle's 'Three Methods of Proof'. Audience analysis is an important factor to consider when writing a strong, persuasive
speech. Analyzing the target audience can help the writer learn how to prepare the proper content, determine the tone, usage of examples and the
proper presentation required to connect with their target audience. The 'Three Methods of Proof', which consists of Ethos, Pathos and Logos can also
assist the writer in delivering their persuasive speech....show more content...
The writer should be knowledgeable of the subject that they are writing about. According to McKay, 'a man may have the most logical and
well–thought–out argument, but if his audience doesn't think he's trustworthy or even worth listening to, all his reasoning will be for naught.'
(McKay,1) Preparing for the speech in advance, such as making sure that the writer is knowledgeable and has done ample research on the speech
topic can be helpful. It is important because the writer should know what type of tone and style of the message would be needed so they would be
able to connect their argument to their audience's personal views. Once the writer has a good understanding of the speech that they want to convey, the
next persuasive factor the writer should consider is

Persuasive Writing Style Analysis
Persuasive writing techniques have proven themselves invaluable in the course of history. They have been used to write speeches for campaigns,
elections and appeals. They have been used by students begging for second chances, employees hoping to get pay raises, and volunteers asking for
sizeable donations.
But how difficult is it to master these methods? In all honesty, persuasivewriting techniques aren't that hard to learn. Read on to find out more!
1) Start off on the right foot.
If you wish to write an effective and persuasive letter, you must know (above all) how to write correctly.
Grammar is always important and typos are unforgivable. This is especially important if you're writing for an intelligent audience. Critics will always
be there to study your work, so make sure it is flawless from...show more content...
Some words are more persuasive than others. For example, instead of writing, "It is important that we save the bird sanctuary," we should say, "It is
critical that we save the bird sanctuary." Bring in a sense of urgency using words that have more weight.
3) Put yourself in their shoes.
When it comes to persuasive writing techniques, it is key that you write with your audience in mind. You want to persuade others to act or think a
certain way, so focus your article on what matters most to them and not what you deem personally important.
If by chance they coincide, then you shouldn't have a hard time writing your persuasive article at all.
4) Cite reasons why.
People will always ask the question why. Why should we listen to you? Why should we buy this product? Why should you get our vote? Don't just list
down any reason you can think of. Omit those that don't have as much significance as others.
Still using the same bird sanctuary example, don't highlight the reason "because we must respect mother nature" in your campaign. Instead, highlight
the reason "because the birds are an endangered species" instead.
5) Use respectable

Persuasive Analysis
In the Ted Talk "We should aim for perfection
– and stop fearing failure", Jon Bowers outlines his argument for perfection. He begins by giving an
example of a "small error" that ended up costing Amazon over $160 million dollars. He then lists more examples draws them forward to present
his idea of perfection. The examples show how one tiny error can have an enormous impact and he turns to the audience asking "why we cannot
achieve perfection?". He draws the listeners in by giving personal experience in striving for perfection. "Look, a hundred people die everyday due
to vehicular crashes. Think about that for a second. That's like the equivalent of four commercial airliners crashing every week, yet we still can't
convince ourselves to pay perfect attention behind the wheel. So I teach my drivers to value perfection". Jon is an educator for professional
delivery drivers and has to ensure that they are prepared to handle any and every situation possible. This may seem impossible because we are all
human, no? He circles back to his first assertion that we should all "seek perfection". Though he believes that perfection is a goal we should all try
to achieve, he understands that mistakes happen. It's not that we can't fail though, it's that trying our best and doing the bare minimum has
become a popular trend. We have given up on growing and becoming better. We have stopped trying to make the margin of mistake smaller and
eliminate mess ups and miscalculations. This attitude of trying to complete something rather than finishing something has flooded the masses. It
has created a world full of "tryers" and marginalized the "doers". When Jon graded his drivers and most ask him why his class is so difficult. Like
c'mon it's just driving, right? Jon knows that a slight imperfection can be the difference between a child dead or a child alive; a driver dead or a
driver alive. He uses a combination of cold hard facts and the rhetorical device logos to show his listeners the drawbacks of tiny mistakes. He
elegantly floats over and changes the subject from fact to and logos, to ethos. By making this transition we receive quite an inspirational view of his
message. In the middle of his speech he says, "So how do we change?

Persuasive Speech Analysis
When choosing my speech topic, I thought about many different topics. I considered doing mine on abortion, more funding for Alzheimer's research,
and many others. I finally decided on doing my speech on Star Wars. I narrowed my ideas down to this one for many reasons. While I do feel
strongly about making abortion illegal, I did not want to talk about this in front of the class. I know that there are varying opinions on abortion, and I
wouldn't have been able to give my speech without offending someone. I decided on Star Wars because many people either love it or are indifferent
towards it, and I knew I wouldn't offend anyone by giving my speech on this topic.
I utilized a few different ways to prepare for my speech. One way that I used which I did not use last time was the tool Screencastify. I recorded
myself as I did with my last speech, but this time I actually listened to the recordings while practicing my speech. I believe that this was a bad idea.
I should have just listened to it without trying to say my speech at the same time. This messed me up because I would get out of rhythm and I
would have to stop and start over. This wasted a lot of time and caused me to stress more about my speech delivery. I also tried to use my notecards
more this time while I was practicing my speech. I believe this helped to better the body of my speech. I wrote better cues on the notecards and this
allowed me to use them when I forgot a certain part. While this really helped to better the body of my speech, it clearly caused my introduction and
especially my conclusion to suffer greatly. While the introduction managed to go well, the conclusion was a horrendous mess. I practiced the body so
much with the notecards, that it caused me to neglect my conclusion. I had done it well a couple of times, so I decided to focus mostly on my body.
This caused my whole speech to suffer because I could not remember the transition that I had practiced when going from my body to my conclusion.
When practicing this speech, I once again focused too much on one aspect of the speech, which caused the other parts of my speech to suffer.
However, before giving my speech in front of the class, I felt confident in what I was going to talk

Writing A Persuasive Essay Analysis
"Responsibility" would not quite meet the criteria for our persuasive essay assignment. The essay did not have a clear persuasive argument. I can
deduct the possibility that the author's intention was to get a reader to become more responsible, but the majority of the essay does not focus on any
reasons for one to do so. As well, the essay took on a tone that removed all credibility from the author when, at the end of the third paragraph, they go
on a tirade demeaning anybody who does stupid and irresponsible things. Passing judgement like that made me feel indifferent about the thoughts of
the author throughout the rest of the essay. Perhaps if this portion were revised, and the introduction and conclusion were more developed, this essay

Rhetorical Analysis
In order to create a persuasive essay, the author must take into consideration the following points: the audience attitude, the organization of the speech
and the appropriate use of the ethical guidelines. The audience attitude towards a topic is very important, given that is the general feeling about the
issue or person; according to the book Speak, people express their attitudes when they give their opinions. However, there are different type of
audiences such as: opposed, no opinion and in favor. When the audience has an opposed posture, the speaker is seeking for an incremental change. In
other words, he/she begins with a small change in order to make the listeners to move into the orator's direction. The second category of audience is the
no opinion, that is to say they are neutral, apathetic or uninformed with the topic. If the audience is apathetic, this means they are uninterested or
indifferent; the orator's goal is to show how the topic relates with the audience. When the audience is does not know enough about the topic...show more

The next thing to consider is the preposition. A preposition is a declarative sentence that identifies the orator's position. There are three types of
prepositions such as: proposition of fact, proposition of value and proposition of policy. In the following paragraph, the three classifications will be
explained. The proposition of fact has the goal to convince the audience about three different things, the first one is that it did or did not probably
occur or exist; the second one is that probably is or not true; and the third one is that it will or will not probably occur. The proposition of value is used
to convince the audience that something has more value than something else. The proposition of policy is used to convince the audience about a
particular action; uses words such as "should/shouldn't" or "do/don't" or "mus/must

Argument Analysis: Persuasion Efforts
Lyndsay, Great job with your post. I also included dishonesty, inadequate amount of time for a counterargument or reflection. These are two major
improper things to do in regards to persuasion efforts. After making a list of several illigemate tools a conductor can use in a persuasive argument, I
have begun to identify these problems in my readings, rather than believing what they may be arguing. I now notice if the sources that they site are
legitimate, and if they are giving accurate statistics. We both decided to analyze the authors honesty when evaluating the ethics of a conductor. I would
also evaluate the conductors fairness in their persuasion efforts, which includes determining if there is adequate time for respondents to reflect

Reflection Of A Persuasive Reflection
Reflection of a Persuasive Essay by Vickie Hale In my revision, I decided to incorporate actionable feedback from the feedback I received. The
feedback I received was that my essay needed more clarification, I choose to use this feedback to help make my argument more developed, I wanted to
create a better thought out essay and I worked on the clarification of my argument as well as renewed my research. With that, I did some critical
thinking to help work through the weak areas of my essay which was the structure and syntax. Therefore, I incorporated these suggestions because
they helped me to improve my essay and help me to create a more persuasive essay. Without these changes alongside the small revisions, I made, I do
not believe my essay would have been as well–written so they were much needed. My biggest challenges came from not being able to pin down my
argument, it took me a while to come find a side to an argument that wasn't vague. Because, I usually write in a creative way, which does not
necessarily have to be persuasive, I usually write fictional stories and people getting the understanding from the experiences of the characters is the
outcome, but with persuasive writing, you are trying to get your readers to not only agree with your side of the argument but to see what and why
you are arguing your side in the first place. This became difficult for me because I kept feeling like my argument was not central and a little vague.
I worked on trying to help my readers understand what and why I was arguing my side of the argument. I had to think about who was reading my
essay and this helped. What I could have done differently is choose a more central argument, I believe it would have reduced my challenges. This
question is hard for me to answer because I did not receive but one peer feedback, the feedback I incorporated concerning my exploration of the
issue was more clarification because that was one of the problems my peer review pointed out. I worked on my clarification because it is one of the
main elements, that is needed when you are writing a persuasive essay or any essay for that matter. Clarification gives the essay structure so your
readers can have a full understanding of your

Least Appealing Mode Of Persuasion Analysis
The least appealing mode of persuasion would be the expert testimony. Towards the middle of the documentary they us expert opinion to explain
their findings. Out of the few experts, they had they gave good information. I feel like they could have had more experts to back up their case. One
of the experts talked about a lawsuit against many companies. "Oklahoma Edmonds has filed a lawsuit against several major poultry companies
including Tyson Cobb...Semmen foods and Willowbrook foods. In the lawsuit attorney general Edmondson seeks not only damages... against the
further spreading of waste in northern Oklahoma" (11:18). Edmondson was trying so hard to convince them to keep their trash away from any river
and try to keep it clean. As well as

Better Than Human Persuasive Analysis
Nicholas Carr and Kevin Kelly both have very informative articles. The one I believe is the most persuasive would definitely have to be Kevin
Kelly's article, "Better than Human". One of the reasons that I chose this article as the most persuasive is because in this day and age, technology is
a big part of our lives. Because of this, more people would be persuade by Kelly's article about using the computer, and not Carr's that has the idea that
using this technology is potentially making us stupid. Another reason I chose this article is that since technology has become so popular in this world,
more people use computers for everyday tasks. Even though this is happening, it does not necessarily mean that it is making us stupid. There

Writing A Persuasive Essay Analysis
I've chosen the form of a persuasive essay that would be published in a school library targeting early adulthood. The reason why I have chosen this
form of writing is because I'm able to use a formal language. This is to include real life examples that allows me to express the topic even more so
it makes it easier for the audience to understand. I've chosen early adulthood as the audience because I feel like they can relative this piece more
than younger children because they are more exposed to changes in identity and may find it harder to belong to certain groups as they grow up. The
very start of my piece I start to write in first person using words like 'we' and 'our' as I'm referring to myself with others trying to get the readers to

An Essay on Mankind's Tendency to Persevere and Preserve For the essay I chose the play The Mountaintop by Katori Hall and an interview from
the documentary Twilight, by Anna Deaver Smith, "When I finally Got My Vision/Nightcloud." The Mountaintop depict the tenacious leader of
1960's Civil Rights movement, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., being visited by an angel the night before his assassination. "When I finally Got My
Vision/Nightcloud" is a first person narrative about a man who, becomes a victim of police brutality and loses his sight because of it. These two
text share common themes; which, are that mankind tends to persevere for the sake preservation. Michael Zinzun retells his experience being
confronted by a group of "America's Finest." Early in the morning, Zinzun heard a call for help from outside. Unable to ignore their plea, he heads
toward the scene, "So I went out there 'long with other people and we demanded they stop. (17)" The plea came from a man being brutally beaten by
police and when Zinzun intervened, the cops reversed their attack on to him, "One these pigs stepped outta the crowd with his flashlight. Caught me
right in my eye. . . Exploded the optic nerve to the brain. . . I couldn't' see no more since then. . .I still didn't understand it but I said "Well, I'm just
gonna keep strugglin." (20)" The city compensated him for his injuries; but, his new found fortune did not stop him from continuing his aspiration,
"The city on the eye had to couch up

Good tempo and good control veryall. Again, at the octave watch out for the for the higher note. Make sure it's in tune with the lower note. I know it's
hard but try not to rush in the octave, it will make you life a lot easier. In the up bow staccato, use your index finger to articulate more especially in this
tempo.
Caroline 90
Good overall. Watch out for the indication of the kind of bowstroke technique that Piatti asked for. Slower practice at the octave area. Think about the
connection between each octave. When you are practicing also try to slide between two chord. Able to hear the slide while in slow practice and
eliminated as you speed up will help you to have a more accurate intonation in the octave area.
Ethan 90
Watch out for the tunning for the chrod. Practice stop and go will help a lot with these chord progression. In addition, a lot of time if you put more
direction towards the gesture in the octave will help you with intonation. I can hear the hesitation in the octave. I understand it's hard but it will be more
sucessful when you go for it without hestitation. Be fearless.

Do you remember the last time you saw a Saint Jude's commercial? The ones that make you want to pull out your wallet and donate your entire

We all hope to live to a ripe old age ending our life with our loved ones around and prepared to meet again with the ones already on the other side.
Unfortunately not everyone will live to this desired goal. Some may fall short by debilitating illness unable to be cured by modern medicine. People
with incurable diseases deserve the right to make the last choices of their life whatever they may be without fear of criticism. It is plausible that

  • 1. Social Persuasion Analysis Our contemplations and activities are impacted by other individuals, regardless of whether we are latently watching their conduct or effectively agreeing to their solicitations. Example Of Persuasion Analysis My fiancГ©e coworker has taking advantage of her kindness and shes letting them get away with it because shes not a confrontational person so at first I let it go by but she starts complaining about it but she don't want to say something about it at work she told me she was being nice to them but why theyre being rude to her I said you are using a just–world hypothesis the tendency to believe that the world is a fair place and that you get what you deserve I knew I need to use a persuasion. I told her you got to speak up for yourself, they are being nasty to you because they misinterpret your kindness as being dumb and I've been telling her when someone push you you have to pushed back you need to stand on your ground don't let anybody to bully you and now she said she's speaking up for herself when someone is being rude to her but ofcourse I reminds her that if they don't bother her anymore or they stop showing aggression a threatening behavior intended to hurt others then don't feel prejudice, to have negative attitude towards other She change her attitude since I made her change it it wasn't easy to change her because she thinks it will make her look like a bad person I told her theres no reason to be a stereotype threat this is when a person feels afraid that others will judge them as inferior because they are aware of negative...show more content... • 5. Analysis Of A Strong Persuasive Speech What is a strong, persuasive speech? According to Boundless, a persuasive speech is defined as a "specific type of speech in which the speaker has a goal of convincing the audience to accept his or her point of view." (Boundless, 1) The speech is organized in a particular format– to try to convince the audience to accept all or part of the writer or speaker's view. Although the person delivering the speech could be the writer and/or speaker, for this essay, the subject will be referred as the writer. There are a few key persuasive factors that a writer can use to develop a strong, persuasive speech – audience analysis, and Aristotle's 'Three Methods of Proof'. Audience analysis is an important factor to consider when writing a strong, persuasive speech. Analyzing the target audience can help the writer learn how to prepare the proper content, determine the tone, usage of examples and the proper presentation required to connect with their target audience. The 'Three Methods of Proof', which consists of Ethos, Pathos and Logos can also assist the writer in delivering their persuasive speech....show more content... The writer should be knowledgeable of the subject that they are writing about. According to McKay, 'a man may have the most logical and well–thought–out argument, but if his audience doesn't think he's trustworthy or even worth listening to, all his reasoning will be for naught.' (McKay,1) Preparing for the speech in advance, such as making sure that the writer is knowledgeable and has done ample research on the speech topic can be helpful. It is important because the writer should know what type of tone and style of the message would be needed so they would be able to connect their argument to their audience's personal views. Once the writer has a good understanding of the speech that they want to convey, the next persuasive factor the writer should consider is Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Persuasive Writing Style Analysis Persuasive writing techniques have proven themselves invaluable in the course of history. They have been used to write speeches for campaigns, elections and appeals. They have been used by students begging for second chances, employees hoping to get pay raises, and volunteers asking for sizeable donations. Critics will always be there to study your work, so make sure it is flawless from...show more content... Some words are more persuasive than others. For example, instead of writing, "It is important that we save the bird sanctuary," we should say, "It is critical that we save the bird sanctuary." Bring in a sense of urgency using words that have more weight. 3) Put yourself in their shoes. When it comes to persuasive writing techniques, it is key that you write with your audience in mind. You want to persuade others to act or think a certain way, so focus your article on what matters most to them and not what you deem personally important. If by chance they coincide, then you shouldn't have a hard time writing your persuasive article at all. 4) Cite reasons why. People will always ask the question why. Why should we listen to you? Why should we buy this product? Why should you get our vote? Don't just list down any reason you can think of. Omit those that don't have as much significance as others.
  • 7. Still using the same bird sanctuary example, don't highlight the reason "because we must respect mother nature" in your campaign. Instead, highlight the reason "because the birds are an endangered species" instead. 5) Use respectable Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Persuasive Analysis In the Ted Talk "We should aim for perfection – and stop fearing failure", Jon Bowers outlines his argument for perfection. He begins by giving an example of a "small error" that ended up costing Amazon over $160 million dollars. He then lists more examples draws them forward to present his idea of perfection. The examples show how one tiny error can have an enormous impact and he turns to the audience asking "why we cannot achieve perfection?". He draws the listeners in by giving personal experience in striving for perfection. "Look, a hundred people die everyday due to vehicular crashes. Think about that for a second. That's like the equivalent of four commercial airliners crashing every week, yet we still can't convince ourselves to pay perfect attention behind the wheel. So I teach my drivers to value perfection". Jon is an educator for professional delivery drivers and has to ensure that they are prepared to handle any and every situation possible. This may seem impossible because we are all human, no? He circles back to his first assertion that we should all "seek perfection". Though he believes that perfection is a goal we should all try to achieve, he understands that mistakes happen. It's not that we can't fail though, it's that trying our best and doing the bare minimum has become a popular trend. We have given up on growing and becoming better. We have stopped trying to make the margin of mistake smaller and eliminate mess ups and miscalculations. This attitude of trying to complete something rather than finishing something has flooded the masses. It has created a world full of "tryers" and marginalized the "doers". When Jon graded his drivers and most ask him why his class is so difficult. Like c'mon it's just driving, right? Jon knows that a slight imperfection can be the difference between a child dead or a child alive; a driver dead or a driver alive. He uses a combination of cold hard facts and the rhetorical device logos to show his listeners the drawbacks of tiny mistakes. He elegantly floats over and changes the subject from fact to and logos, to ethos. By making this transition we receive quite an inspirational view of his message. In the middle of his speech he says, "So how do we change? Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Persuasive Speech Analysis When choosing my speech topic, I thought about many different topics. I considered doing mine on abortion, more funding for Alzheimer's research, and many others. I finally decided on doing my speech on Star Wars. I narrowed my ideas down to this one for many reasons. While I do feel strongly about making abortion illegal, I did not want to talk about this in front of the class. I know that there are varying opinions on abortion, and I wouldn't have been able to give my speech without offending someone. I decided on Star Wars because many people either love it or are indifferent towards it, and I knew I wouldn't offend anyone by giving my speech on this topic. I utilized a few different ways to prepare for my speech. One way that I used which I did not use last time was the tool Screencastify. I recorded myself as I did with my last speech, but this time I actually listened to the recordings while practicing my speech. I believe that this was a bad idea. I should have just listened to it without trying to say my speech at the same time. This messed me up because I would get out of rhythm and I would have to stop and start over. This wasted a lot of time and caused me to stress more about my speech delivery. I also tried to use my notecards more this time while I was practicing my speech. I believe this helped to better the body of my speech. I wrote better cues on the notecards and this allowed me to use them when I forgot a certain part. While this really helped to better the body of my speech, it clearly caused my introduction and especially my conclusion to suffer greatly. While the introduction managed to go well, the conclusion was a horrendous mess. I practiced the body so much with the notecards, that it caused me to neglect my conclusion. However, before giving my speech in front of the class, I felt confident in what I was going to talk Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 11. Writing A Persuasive Essay Analysis "Responsibility" would not quite meet the criteria for our persuasive essay assignment. The essay did not have a clear persuasive argument. I can deduct the possibility that the author's intention was to get a reader to become more responsible, but the majority of the essay does not focus on any reasons for one to do so. As well, the essay took on a tone that removed all credibility from the author when, at the end of the third paragraph, they go on a tirade demeaning anybody who does stupid and irresponsible things. Passing judgement like that made me feel indifferent about the thoughts of the author throughout the rest of the essay. Perhaps if this portion were revised, and the introduction and conclusion were more developed, this essay would Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Rhetorical Analysis In order to create a persuasive essay, the author must take into consideration the following points: the audience attitude, the organization of the speech and the appropriate use of the ethical guidelines. The audience attitude towards a topic is very important, given that is the general feeling about the issue or person; according to the book Speak, people express their attitudes when they give their opinions. However, there are different type of audiences such as: opposed, no opinion and in favor. When the audience has an opposed posture, the speaker is seeking for an incremental change. In other words, he/she begins with a small change in order to make the listeners to move into the orator's direction. The second category of audience is the no opinion, that is to say they are neutral, apathetic or uninformed with the topic. If the audience is apathetic, this means they are uninterested or indifferent; the orator's goal is to show how the topic relates with the audience. When the audience is does not know enough about the topic...show more content... The next thing to consider is the preposition. A preposition is a declarative sentence that identifies the orator's position. There are three types of prepositions such as: proposition of fact, proposition of value and proposition of policy. In the following paragraph, the three classifications will be explained. The proposition of fact has the goal to convince the audience about three different things, the first one is that it did or did not probably occur or exist; the second one is that probably is or not true; and the third one is that it will or will not probably occur. The proposition of value is used to convince the audience that something has more value than something else. The proposition of policy is used to convince the audience about a particular action; uses words such as "should/shouldn't" or "do/don't" or "mus/must Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. Argument Analysis: Persuasion Efforts Lyndsay, Great job with your post. I also included dishonesty, inadequate amount of time for a counterargument or reflection. These are two major improper things to do in regards to persuasion efforts. After making a list of several illigemate tools a conductor can use in a persuasive argument, I have begun to identify these problems in my readings, rather than believing what they may be arguing. I now notice if the sources that they site are legitimate, and if they are giving accurate statistics. We both decided to analyze the authors honesty when evaluating the ethics of a conductor. I would also evaluate the conductors fairness in their persuasion efforts, which includes determining if there is adequate time for respondents to reflect Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. Reflection Of A Persuasive Reflection Reflection of a Persuasive Essay by Vickie Hale In my revision, I decided to incorporate actionable feedback from the feedback I received. The feedback I received was that my essay needed more clarification, I choose to use this feedback to help make my argument more developed, I wanted to create a better thought out essay and I worked on the clarification of my argument as well as renewed my research. With that, I did some critical thinking to help work through the weak areas of my essay which was the structure and syntax. Therefore, I incorporated these suggestions because they helped me to improve my essay and help me to create a more persuasive essay. Without these changes alongside the small revisions, I made, I do not believe my essay would have been as well–written so they were much needed. My biggest challenges came from not being able to pin down my argument, it took me a while to come find a side to an argument that wasn't vague. Because, I usually write in a creative way, which does not necessarily have to be persuasive, I usually write fictional stories and people getting the understanding from the experiences of the characters is the outcome, but with persuasive writing, you are trying to get your readers to not only agree with your side of the argument but to see what and why you are arguing your side in the first place. This became difficult for me because I kept feeling like my argument was not central and a little vague. I worked on trying to help my readers understand what and why I was arguing my side of the argument. I had to think about who was reading my essay and this helped. What I could have done differently is choose a more central argument, I believe it would have reduced my challenges. This question is hard for me to answer because I did not receive but one peer feedback, the feedback I incorporated concerning my exploration of the issue was more clarification because that was one of the problems my peer review pointed out. I worked on my clarification because it is one of the main elements, that is needed when you are writing a persuasive essay or any essay for that matter. Clarification gives the essay structure so your readers can have a full understanding of your Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. Least Appealing Mode Of Persuasion Analysis The least appealing mode of persuasion would be the expert testimony. Towards the middle of the documentary they us expert opinion to explain their findings. Out of the few experts, they had they gave good information. I feel like they could have had more experts to back up their case. One of the experts talked about a lawsuit against many companies. "Oklahoma Edmonds has filed a lawsuit against several major poultry companies including Tyson Cobb...Semmen foods and Willowbrook foods. In the lawsuit attorney general Edmondson seeks not only damages... against the further spreading of waste in northern Oklahoma" (11:18). • 16. Better Than Human Persuasive Analysis Nicholas Carr and Kevin Kelly both have very informative articles. The one I believe is the most persuasive would definitely have to be Kevin Kelly's article, "Better than Human". One of the reasons that I chose this article as the most persuasive is because in this day and age, technology is a big part of our lives. Because of this, more people would be persuade by Kelly's article about using the computer, and not Carr's that has the idea that using this technology is potentially making us stupid. Another reason I chose this article is that since technology has become so popular in this world, more people use computers for everyday tasks. Even though this is happening, it does not necessarily mean that it is making us stupid. There Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. Writing A Persuasive Essay Analysis I've chosen the form of a persuasive essay that would be published in a school library targeting early adulthood. The reason why I have chosen this form of writing is because I'm able to use a formal language. This is to include real life examples that allows me to express the topic even more so it makes it easier for the audience to understand. I've chosen early adulthood as the audience because I feel like they can relative this piece more than younger children because they are more exposed to changes in identity and may find it harder to belong to certain groups as they grow up. The very start of my piece I start to write in first person using words like 'we' and 'our' as I'm referring to myself with others trying to get the readers to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. Persuasive Analysis An Essay on Mankind's Tendency to Persevere and Preserve For the essay I chose the play The Mountaintop by Katori Hall and an interview from the documentary Twilight, by Anna Deaver Smith, "When I finally Got My Vision/Nightcloud." The Mountaintop depict the tenacious leader of 1960's Civil Rights movement, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., being visited by an angel the night before his assassination. "When I finally Got My Vision/Nightcloud" is a first person narrative about a man who, becomes a victim of police brutality and loses his sight because of it. These two text share common themes; which, are that mankind tends to persevere for the sake preservation. Michael Zinzun retells his experience being confronted by a group of "America's Finest." Early in the morning, Zinzun heard a call for help from outside. Unable to ignore their plea, he heads toward the scene, "So I went out there 'long with other people and we demanded they stop. (17)" The plea came from a man being brutally beaten by police and when Zinzun intervened, the cops reversed their attack on to him, "One these pigs stepped outta the crowd with his flashlight. Caught me right in my eye. . . Exploded the optic nerve to the brain. . . I couldn't' see no more since then. . .I still didn't understand it but I said "Well, I'm just gonna keep strugglin." Our society can be judged by the way we show compassion for our fellow kin in their vulnerable hours. We all hope to live to a ripe old age ending our life with our loved ones around and prepared to meet again with the ones already on the other side. Unfortunately not everyone will live to this desired goal. Some may fall short by debilitating illness unable to be cured by modern medicine.
