4. PMSC changes
The Overview and Scrutiny Committee
agreed to take the lead on analysing the
Performance Reports and delegating
specific reviews/investigations to the
PMSC
PMSC will convene as and when required.
5. Police and Crime Panel
Context of the Police and Crime Panel
role at County Hall was explained to the
Committee
District Council representative is invited to
the September meeting to feedback
recent activity
Complements the Community Safety
monitoring responsibility of the Committee
6. COMMUNITY SAFETY
The Community Safety Manager gave an
in-depth update to the Committee on
recent project performance and
upcoming activities
Community Safety Strategy is due for
review. 3 Members of the Committee will
work with the Community Safety Manager
and partners to update it as necessary
7. PUBLIC HEALTH
Committee were made aware of the
multiple projects and schemes being
delivered across Broadland
Committee showed particular interest in
the progress of Grow Your Community
events and encouraged further funding
to be bid for past April 2016
8. PUBLIC HEALTH
Committee were enthusiastic about the
Affordable Warmth projects
Warm and Well packs will be funded
again this winter
Packs include items such as fleece blanket,
hot water bottle and recipe cards
9. SOCIAL MEDIA PILOT
Committee reviewed the achievements
of the pilot so far
Supported the development of
infographics to promote the work of the
Committee
Supported the publishing of Scrutiny
Snippets on an ongoing basis
Committee agreed the action plan for
year 3
10. WORK PROGRAMME UPDATE
Social Media training for October is to be
moved to a wider media workshop for all
Councillors organised by the
Communications Team
Items for the 20 October should be
brought forward to the 6 October
A workshop on Performance Reports is
organised for the 20 October for all
Committee members and substitutes
