This letter is to serve as a letter of recommendation for Brittney Burton. Brittney had worked for
Pipers Hospitality Group as a Service and Venue manager for almost a year. During her stay with
Pipers, she supervised at least 20 employees in a variety of employment roles.
As service manager, she managed the service for events ranging from 20 people to over 1500
people. In that role she was responsible for keeping events flowing as to established time lines, client
expectations and insuring staff was in uniform and on point regarding service standards. She
exhibited the ability to adapt to less than perfect situations and create viable solutions to resolve
potential problems. Brittney was responsible for scheduling staff in accordance to established labor
matrix for all events. The staff enjoyed her and worked well for her.
As venue manager, she was responsible for inventory and keeping track of Pipers assets, as
well as making sure the venue was in good repair and always presentable. As part of this she over
saw the breaking down of, cleaning of and setting of the venue for all events. She also managed
the supply and alcohol inventory, and was responsible for communicating such to the main office
weekly. As part of her managing the alcohol, she also oversaw bar operations and insured that bars
functioned properly in both inventory control and cash handling.
I regret having to eliminate Brittney’s position; however it was an unavoidable business
decision that had to be made. She is a very intelligent young lady who exhibits faithfulness, and
good solid work ethics. I am certain she can make a great addition to a variety of different business
