An old man named Percy Williams decides to go on an adventure and travels from England to France. In Paris, he sits on a park bench feeling lonely when he notices a flower shop across the street. Upon entering the shop, Percy is overwhelmed by the scents of flowers and lays eyes on the shop's owner, a plain woman who Percy finds beautiful. The two fall in love at first sight. Percy purchases a single daisy from the woman before returning home, vowing to never forget the "Daisy girl" who brought him his first true adventure.

W.A.L.T: Write a piece descriptive writing using a photo.
Plan of story:
Main idea: A man as old and frail as a________ decides he will go out into the
world. He goes to France, and meets a lady in a flower shop.
Things that happen:
- The main character and the woman die
- They lady owns a flower shop in Paris and that is where they meet
2. Story:
Things change when you get old. You start to feel the pains as sharp as knives in
you back, you forget some of the greatest memories, like learning to drive a car and
your senior prom, but one of the worst things about being as old is that y the
adventure leaves your life. For Percy Williams, a humble man who lives in a house
almost as old as him, adventure is one of the things that has not been lived.
Percy longs for adventure so he packs his bags and was off. He didn’t know where
he was going or whether he had enough money for the trip so he decides to go
small. So England to France was they way to go.
3 hours later (after he arrived in Paris), he was sitting on a park bench wondering
what to do now he was there.
His back is as broken as his heart as he has never had anyone to love, he tries to
cheer himself by thinking of something happy. that is very easy as it is sitting right
in front of him. A Flower Shop. Feeling a little less down he makes his way over the
cobbled road to the flower shop.
Utterly amazed as the scent of daffodils, roses and any other type of flower you can
think of fills his nose with life. You would think that was enough but then the
happiest thing happened to Percy. He fell in love. The lady standing behind the
counter was as plain as paper to any man, but to Percy she was a book filled with
words of beauty.
He gazed at her as he strode over to the daisy isle and picks a bunch. He walked
over to the counter. The beautiful lady says “That will be 5 pounds a bunch and 20
pennies for a flower.” Percy is lulled into a mumbling mode by her soft magnificent
voice. Percy always longed for adventure, but never expected it to find him.
He finally snapped out of his love fit and answered by saying “I’ll take one flower”
he said this as he picked his favorite from the bunch, not necessarily the brightest
flower but the one that resembled his love - The lady as plain as paper.
Percy had no idea of her name, but when he left Paris and his adventure was over
he would never forget the day he met the Daisy girl, and that memory unlike any
others, would stay in his heart forever.
Amazing Ella, I love it. The story flows nicely and your description is great.
Next Steps: Keep thinking about rhythm as you spend your editing time. 5b
