• Perfect fit for heat-transfer liquids
• Sealless design ensures total product containment
• No product cooling required for temperatures up
to 842° F
• One Casing Gasket
• Fully confined to eliminate “blow out” risk
• Torque-Ring Drive positively contributes to the
efficiency of the hot oil system
• Built-in soft-start feature
• Ideally suited for viscous start up
With its distinctive Torque-Ring Drive, the HMD
Kontro CS Series of pumps provides the perfect fit
for hot oil systems. During operation, the CS Pump
requires no cooling fluids or heat exchangers.
Self venting, the CS Pump’s magnetic coupling
is immersed in hot oil.
The Torque Ring design also offers a built-in soft
start for viscous liquids, while the energy created
adds to the efficiency of the system. This type of
drive, invented by HMD Kontro in 1962, enables
the pumps to operate at high temperatures without
any cooling, making the CS range of pumps
particularly well suited to handle high-temperature
mediums.
The CS Pump is simple to oper-
ate and maintain, cost-effective
to run, and capable of operating
up to 842° F (with an engineered
adder) without cooling (standard
is 660° F). Design working
pressure is 18.9 Bar, 275 PSI.
The HMD Kontro CS Series
has the impressive capability of
handling solids up to 1.5% w/w
with 100 microns.
Standard construction is carbon
steel with carbon internal bear-
ings (D, E, & F Frames). Options
of Stainless Steel construction
with graphite gaskets are also
available (D, E, & F Frames).
Stainless steel with carbon inter-
nal bearings is standard with the smaller C Frame.
Alnico and Rare Earth Outer Magnet Ring options
offer a varied range of pump performances. The C,
D, & 2E Frames can be mounted with a close-cou-
pled or separate-mount design. The remaining larger
CS frames are available in a separate-mount design.
Ring options offer a varied range of pump perfor-
mances. The C, D, & 2E Frames can be mounted
with a close-coupled or separate-mount design.
The remaining larger CS frames are available in a
separate-mount design.

More About Jess Dillard
Jess Dillard joined the Stock Depot team in October of last year.
He wears several different hats that range from Application Engineer
to Inside Sales and Customer Service.
His background consists of a B.S. in Aerospace Engineer-
ing from North Carolina State University.
Jess maintains that his favorite aspect of working at the
Stock Depot is the friendly environment that allows him to
learn about HMD Kontro pumps from highly knowledgeable
co-workers. He is able to get hands-on experience in the
Liquid Handling Equipment maintenance shop, a Sundyne Authorized Service Center,
as well as develop an understanding and comfort level with HMD Kontro pumps.
Jess stays busy in his off time playing golf, going fishing, and enjoying the outdoors. He’s a big Carolina
Panthers and Charlotte Hornets fan!
Give Jess a call. He’s ready and willing to help you with whatever your Stock Depot need!
The Kontro Quarterly Salutes David Clark
As Senior Engineering Manager of Sundyne HMD Sealless Pumps, Ltd.
in Eastbourne, England, David Clark has served in numerous positions
with the company for the past 31 years. Basically, he’s done it all with an
extensive list of positions to support this assertion. In 1998, David accepted the
responsibility for overseeing the Engineering and Product Development groups.
Replete with notable qualifications, such as a Chartered Engineer with the
Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), David is a serving member on
API Sub Committees on Machinery Equipment, including API 685 and
ASME B73.3. He has implemented numerous sealless products and services,
including high-system pressure-pump ranges, API vertical-pump ranges, the
ZeroLoss™ high-efficiency containment shell, and the VaporView®
condition
monitoring device.
Albeit David Clark is a loyal employee, he also is an enthusiastic one. When
asked what he likes best about working at HMD Kontro, David enthusiastically
declared, “Every day at HMD Kontro is like a school day!” He went on to list nine different reasons why he
enjoys his position and the people he works for and with. Reasons ranged from daily technical challenges to
developing new products and providing solutions to improving sys-
tems and processes to meeting potential and existing clients and
users of the HMD Kontro magnetic-drive technology.
On a personal note, David is a keen cyclist, participating in both
Distance and Time-Trial events. He enjoys playing cricket for his local
village, woodworking, skiing, and most important, spending time
with his five and nine-year-old daughters, as well as his “Mum”.
Every aspect of David Clark’s life is impressive. Kontro Quarterly
takes great pride in saluting him!

Serving Your Process Needs from Start to Finish
Founded in 1958, Anderson Process has been in the business for 58 years. Its 70 employees can be found
in two locations - Brookfield, WI (headquarters) and Lombard, IL.
Anderson Process offers full
service repair capabilities,
including five trucks, a five-
ton bridge crane, other size
cranes (2 ton to ½ ton), full
welding, drilling, and cutting
capabilities, along with full
hydrostatic testing capabili-
ties for flow, pressure, amps,
etc. In addition, Anderson
Process employs six me-
chanics. The company is an
Authorized Service Center
for many of its lines, including
Sunflo / Ansimag, Wilden,
Ampco, Gusher, Kaydon,
and Hayward Gordon.
Anderson Process has represented HMD Kontro for over 15 years. Its HMD Kontro experts include Leon Rogowski,
Gary Flach, and Tom Eddy, all with the goal to maximize customers’ fluid management investments.
The company has enjoyed great success with HMD Kontro mag-drives that provide the ability to go higher and
lower in temperatures than the competition’s offerings. Customers, particularly those in the OEM equipment trade,
appreciate the close-coupled ability as opposed to the typical, long-coupled pump. Materials to be pumped have
consisted of oil, water, and / or various chemicals.
Anderson Process attributes its success with HMD Kontro to the quick response afforded by HMD, which in turn, is
supported by the Stock Depot maintained by Liquid Handling Equipment here in the United States.
Integrated Process Solutions
The Anderson Process commitment to service and support defines the company as a true “solutions integrator”.
It doesn’t just take equipment orders, it goes the extra mile to understand the specific nuances of customers’
operations and use all its available resources to help them make the most of their resources.
Through hands-on collaboration, the Anderson Process team works closely with customers to reach an
in-depth understanding of specific fluid-handling processes and challenges. Once achieved, Anderson
leverages its expertise to recommend the best possible equipment and system integration to optimize
processes and increase plants’ profitability. The Anderson Process portfolio of value-added services ensures
that each operation is sustained at peak efficiency, effectively creating “integrated solutions” packages.

Enjoy the Atomic Fireballs in honor of the steamy summer.
I recently sent 2016 HMD Kontro Parts Pricing to all Channel Partners. If you didn’t receive
it or need a another copy, let me know. 2016 Pumps Pricing is still in the works, and I will
advise as to its release as soon as HMD Kontro releases it.
The Stock Depot will be increasing inventory levels of Standard Product available for larger
projects as more space is created because of a new Liquid Handling Equipment building
expansion now underway.

TechnicalTip What Makes HMD Kontro Pumps So Special?!
Since 1947, HMD Kontro has exclusively manufactured sealless pumps in Eastbourne,
England. The HMD Kontro Sealless Pump design is very unique and specific; it is not
a modified mechanically-sealed pump. Instead, it is an innovative design, constructed
differently than other pumps, and engineered to last.
The containment shell consists of welded construction
to ASME VIII pressure vessel standards and is typically
1.2mm thick. Competitors’ pumps usually have hydro-
formed shells, much thinner and weaker than the HMD
Kontro shell design. The HMD Kontro Sealless Pump’s
rotating parts are dynamically balanced, ensuring smooth,
quiet operation and longevity.
HMD Kontro Sealless Pumps are a modular cartridge
design, which considerably reduces maintenance. This
method of construction ensures there are many common
components for each of the three frame sizes throughout
the range, reducing the need for heavy stocking of spare
parts in a multiple pump installation.
Last but not the least reason why HMD Kontro Pumps
are so special is the outer magnet ring, which is fully
encapsulated, protecting the magnets from chipping during assembly, as well as protecting
against corrosion from the pumped liquid in the event of containment shell breach. It also
makes the component easy to clean in usual workshop conditions.
Enjoy your
Atomic Fireballs along with
the HOT summer heat
that’s on its way!

ChannelPartnerSpotlight Anderson Process Serving Your Process Needs from Start to Finish Founded in 1958, Anderson Process has been in the business for 58 years. Its 70 employees can be found in two locations - Brookfield, WI (headquarters) and Lombard, IL. Anderson Process offers full service repair capabilities, including five trucks, a five- ton bridge crane, other size cranes (2 ton to ½ ton), full welding, drilling, and cutting capabilities, along with full hydrostatic testing capabili- ties for flow, pressure, amps, etc. In addition, Anderson Process employs six me- chanics. The company is an Authorized Service Center for many of its lines, including Sunflo / Ansimag, Wilden, Ampco, Gusher, Kaydon, and Hayward Gordon. Anderson Process has represented HMD Kontro for over 15 years. Its HMD Kontro experts include Leon Rogowski, Gary Flach, and Tom Eddy, all with the goal to maximize customers’ fluid management investments. The company has enjoyed great success with HMD Kontro mag-drives that provide the ability to go higher and lower in temperatures than the competition’s offerings. Customers, particularly those in the OEM equipment trade, appreciate the close-coupled ability as opposed to the typical, long-coupled pump. Materials to be pumped have consisted of oil, water, and / or various chemicals. Anderson Process attributes its success with HMD Kontro to the quick response afforded by HMD, which in turn, is supported by the Stock Depot maintained by Liquid Handling Equipment here in the United States. Integrated Process Solutions The Anderson Process commitment to service and support defines the company as a true “solutions integrator”. It doesn’t just take equipment orders, it goes the extra mile to understand the specific nuances of customers’ operations and use all its available resources to help them make the most of their resources. Through hands-on collaboration, the Anderson Process team works closely with customers to reach an in-depth understanding of specific fluid-handling processes and challenges. Once achieved, Anderson leverages its expertise to recommend the best possible equipment and system integration to optimize processes and increase plants’ profitability. The Anderson Process portfolio of value-added services ensures that each operation is sustained at peak efficiency, effectively creating “integrated solutions” packages. www.andersonprocess.com

Remember…Service Sells Pumps! Very truly yours, Brent Keeter TechnicalTip What Makes HMD Kontro Pumps So Special?! Since 1947, HMD Kontro has exclusively manufactured sealless pumps in Eastbourne, England. The HMD Kontro Sealless Pump design is very unique and specific; it is not a modified mechanically-sealed pump. Instead, it is an innovative design, constructed differently than other pumps, and engineered to last. The containment shell consists of welded construction to ASME VIII pressure vessel standards and is typically 1.2mm thick. Competitors’ pumps usually have hydro- formed shells, much thinner and weaker than the HMD Kontro shell design. The HMD Kontro Sealless Pump’s rotating parts are dynamically balanced, ensuring smooth, quiet operation and longevity. HMD Kontro Sealless Pumps are a modular cartridge design, which considerably reduces maintenance. This method of construction ensures there are many common components for each of the three frame sizes throughout the range, reducing the need for heavy stocking of spare parts in a multiple pump installation. Last but not the least reason why HMD Kontro Pumps are so special is the outer magnet ring, which is fully encapsulated, protecting the magnets from chipping during assembly, as well as protecting against corrosion from the pumped liquid in the event of containment shell breach. It also makes the component easy to clean in usual workshop conditions. Enjoy your Atomic Fireballs along with the HOT summer heat that’s on its way! Outer Magnet Rings Containment Shells
