WHAT KIND OF MEDIA INSTITUTION MIGHT
DISTRIBUTE YOUR PRODUCT AND WHY?
MEDIA INSTITUTION
• A media institution is an established, often-profit based organization, that deal in the
creation and distribution of advertising, entertainment and information services. So for
example Universal, Warner Bros and Film 4
UNIVERSAL
• Universal have created and produced several films such as ‘Les Mis’, ‘King Kong’ and
‘Love Actually’ this has made it one the most successful production companies around.
• The company is worth $4.2 billion s one of the biggest around and this is why I would
choose universal to product my media product. By having universal produce my media
product it would help to produce more money and income from my media product
because of the size and popularity of the company.
WARNER BROS.
• Warner Brothers are most popular for producing the ‘Harry Potter’ film series as well as
the popular US teen drama ‘One Tree Hill’.
• The company is worth around $12 billion making it rather successful however although
this is a significant income I would not choose Warner Brothers to produce my media
product because Universal hold better opportunities.
