Quality Assurance Process:
a series of quality assurance process or the
mechanisms are undertaken for the
continuous improvement plans
DepEd Definition of Continuous
Improvement
is a Methodology which continually
ASSESS, ANALYZES and ACTS on
the improvement of the key PROCESS
focusing on both the customers needs
and the desired performance of the
Dep Ed.
• In connection with the
Dep Ed commitment to
build a culture of
continuous learning
and improvement it
follows a step by step
approach we commonly
call TRIPLE A
Methodology
• In this stage, you
have to identify
the PROBLEM and
UNDERSTAND
fully what the
problem is about
ASSESS Step 1:
• The problem can be
part of the school’s
priority
improvement areas.
• Establish a
powerful CI team
ASSESS Step 2:
• Stakeholders are the group or
the individuals who benefits
from or participate in the
process or project
improvements
• Each stakeholder has
different needs
• We need to identify these
needs using VOS
• - is a qualitative statement or phrase
that describes the stakeholders needs and
is worded in the stakeholders language
VOICE OF STAKEHOLDERS (VOS)
• Group the data into clusters so you can see the pattern of the problem
• Using the Affinity Diagram you can organize the ideas
ASSESS Step 3:
• Without knowing the
process, we can never
deliver a
CONSISTENT,
EFFICIENT and
EFFECTIVE way of
achieving our
stakeholders needs
How do we do ASSESS Step 3:
The FLOW CHART shows the linear flow of the process
The SIPOC CHART identifies the elements of the process
DEPLOYMENT CHART identifies the functions and involvement of each element in the
process
Storm Clouds
• These are the PAIN POINTS
that exist in certain steps or
activities within the process
and represents a potential
problem area . The goal is to
determine a focused problem
which makes it easier to
identify causes, take
corrective actions and perform
incremental improvements in
the process
ASSESS Step 4:
• Data gathering as a validation
of observed storm clouds
• Evaluate the collected data
using analytical and logical
reasoning
• Selecting focused problems
among the storm clouds
Looking back under ASSESS:
•It is a deep
analysis of the
problem and
identifying their
root causes
ANALYZE Step 1:
•It is a structured and
thorough review of the
problem designed to
identify and verify
what is causing the
problem
ANALYZE Step 2:
This should satisfy all the
stakeholders who may be
affected by the solutions

5.Creativity Techniques

map to come up with
the FUTURE MAP

Dep Ed efforts: • Looked at the curriculum and learning activities • Human and material resources • Nurtured • Children to enroll and keep coming to school • Learning Experience • They could be what they want to be • Further studies Dep Ed has effectively made this possible, provided the needed resources, engaged with parents and other stakeholder. This is what: TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT OR CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT is all about

  • 10. How did Dep Ed do it: • By managing all component while ensuring the link up effectively continuously improve • To achieve excellent performance and this is SCHOOL BASE MANAGEMENT
  • 11. Ensuring the delivery of quality education: •Priority improvement areas based on the SIP were identified
  • 12. • Forming the Continuous Improvement Teams to undertake the CI project
  • 13. • The teams apply continuous improvement methods • SIPOC
  • 14. • the teams then roll out and monitor the CI project
  • 15. Quality Assurance Process: a series of quality assurance process or the mechanisms are undertaken for the continuous improvement plans

  • 17. DepEd Definition of Continuous Improvement is a Methodology which continually ASSESS, ANALYZES and ACTS on the improvement of the key PROCESS focusing on both the customers needs and the desired performance of the Dep Ed.
  • 18. • In connection with the Dep Ed commitment to build a culture of continuous learning and improvement it follows a step by step approach we commonly call TRIPLE A Methodology

  • 20. • In this stage, you have to identify the PROBLEM and UNDERSTAND fully what the problem is about
  • 21. ASSESS Step 1: • The problem can be part of the school’s priority improvement areas. • Establish a powerful CI team
  • 22. ASSESS Step 2: • Stakeholders are the group or the individuals who benefits from or participate in the process or project improvements • Each stakeholder has different needs • We need to identify these needs using VOS • - is a qualitative statement or phrase that describes the stakeholders needs and is worded in the stakeholders language
  • 23. VOICE OF STAKEHOLDERS (VOS) • Group the data into clusters so you can see the pattern of the problem • Using the Affinity Diagram you can organize the ideas
  • 24. ASSESS Step 3: • Without knowing the process, we can never deliver a CONSISTENT, EFFICIENT and EFFECTIVE way of achieving our stakeholders needs
  • 25. How do we do ASSESS Step 3: The FLOW CHART shows the linear flow of the process The SIPOC CHART identifies the elements of the process DEPLOYMENT CHART identifies the functions and involvement of each element in the process
  • 26. Storm Clouds • These are the PAIN POINTS that exist in certain steps or activities within the process and represents a potential problem area . The goal is to determine a focused problem which makes it easier to identify causes, take corrective actions and perform incremental improvements in the process
  • 27. ASSESS Step 4: • Data gathering as a validation of observed storm clouds • Evaluate the collected data using analytical and logical reasoning • Selecting focused problems among the storm clouds
  • 29. •It is a deep analysis of the problem and identifying their root causes
  • 30. ANALYZE Step 1: •It is a structured and thorough review of the problem designed to identify and verify what is causing the problem
  • 31. ANALYZE Step 2: This should satisfy all the stakeholders who may be affected by the solutions 1.Process simplification 2.Visual management 3.5s or Good Housekeeping 4.Poke Yoke Mistake Proofing 5.Creativity Techniques
  • 32. After which: •After all the solutions has been generated and validated we need to update the current map to come up with the FUTURE MAP
  • 33. ANALYZE Step 3: 1.Plan the implementation of your generated solution 2.Budget and Cost Management planning 3.Resources planning 4.Risk Management planning
  • 34. Looking back under ANALYZE:
  • 35. •The general solutions are ready to be piloted and rolled out •and finally actions are taken to implement the improvements
  • 36. ACT Step 1: •This step will provide us the opportunity to revisit the project objectives and the chosen solution 1.Evaluate the results 2.Cost-benefit analysis
  • 37. ACT Step :2 1.Prepare the resources 2.Identify the correct people 3.Obtain stakeholders support 4.Training of the people 5.Standardize the implementation (Standardize Manual)
  • 38. ACT Step 3: -Task and Timeline -Budget resources -Stakeholders involvement -Plans for checking -Failure prevention
