2. A new digital platform…
• Good HQ is a place for people to share their stories about the
causes they care about and find new ways to get involved.
3. How does it work?
• Organisations have a profile – like
many other social media channels.
• You can brand it and add your
organisations messaging
• Collect reviews and feedback on the
platform
• Advertise volunteering & job
opportunities
• Write posts about the work you’re
doing
• Link to your OSCR profile
• Add a donate link to PayPal
5. What’s in it for organisations?
• Make it easier for people to find out what an organisation does
• Allow the people who know you best to share their stories about
the impact your organisation has had
• Provide testimonials of the impact of your work for funding
applications and bids
• Help people discover new ways to get involved with your
organisation
• Receive feedback on what you’re doing well and what might
need improving
6. Developments
• Working with organisations across
the third sector to get feedback on
the platform
• Good HQ is constantly developing
• Share posts directly to social media
• Run campaigns
• Good Moves jobs
• Now we’re working on:
• Location based searches
• Improving the user experience
• Welcome organisations feedback,
ideas and suggestions.

Editor's Notes
What is Good HQ? Who works on it? Funded by SCVO.
Good HQ works like most other social media channels – each organisation has a profile page. This is an example of EG – the most reviewed org on Good HQ with nearly 40 reviews.
Summarise the different points on the slide.
Talk about the five tabs:
Reviews – reviews that people write about your organisation displayed in chronological order, alongside any response you’ve written.
Reviews written by you about other organisations. Great show to showcase collaborative work.
Posts – like any other social media site, the ability to update your followers on what’s going on. Most recent posts with images appear on the homepage - great way to raise awareness of your brand.
Jobs – pulls through jobs from Good Moves
Volunteering opportunities – pulls through your most recent volunteering opportunities.
Added 5000 charities – plan to have all Scottish charities added by November this year. At the moment we have nearly 150 active organisations on the site.
Range of organisations on Good HQ, from nationwide orgs like Shelter and Princes Trust. Small and local charities like Oban Community Playpakr & Glasgow Bike Shed.
Although we’re adding lots of orgs – orgs can sign up themselves at any time. It’s open to all third sector orgs including voluntary groups, community groups, social enterprises and charities.
Good HQ is in continual development, we’ve been working with early adopters to get their feedback and suggestions for the sites development. Recently we’ve been working on campaigns, this is where we use a hashtag to collate information around a hashtag on to one page – it’s great for multi organisation campaigns.
We’ve also recently added the jobs tab and social media share buttons, to make it easy for orgs to share reviews straight on to their social media accounts.
We’re currently working on improving location based searches, following on from feedback we received from running focus groups with the public.
We welcome any feedback, suggestions and ideas – so please take some time to have a look around the site and let us know what you think!
If you’re part of an organisation, please sign up or claim your page. You can follow us on twitter to keep up to date with developments.
