HISTORY
Burton’s history goes back to 1935, during this time we have created a
number of household favourites, which include Jammie Dodgers, Wagon
Wheels, Maryland Cookies, Royal Edinburgh Shortbread & our Lyons
Brand. We are dedicated to ensure that these brands remain household
favourites.
OUR CULTURE
We’ve created an excellent culture, which really has an emphasis as
working together as one team, we’re proud of baking great biscuits,
working to develop each & everyone of us within Burton’s, in doing so
it helps us grow & ensures we can our people can grow around us.
We’ve created a fun environment, from colourful offices, to team days
off site, through to company fun days, such as the summer sports &
company golf day. Fundraising activities for our selected charities, to
celebrating success as a business at the annual conference.
GET SOCIAL
At Burton’s we want to make it an enjoyable place to spend your
working day, so why not join one of our weekly clubs, which could be
Yoga over lunch, or an early finish to attend boot camp. If your a
bookworm then join our book club, who meet socially every 4-6 weeks.
New clubs are welcomed with open arms, which has recently seen the
start of a Burton’s Biscuits football team, through to launching a
knitting club.
REPUTATION
Our reputation is also a testament that Tesco, Asda, Morrison’s, M&S,
Sainsbury’s, Aldi, Co-Op – to name just a few, have chosen to partner
with Burton’s to manufacture their Retailer Brand Biscuits.

NEW BISCUITS
As our entire focus is on baking great tasting biscuits, we are fully
committed to ensuring we are continuously leading on new flavours &
healthy options for our customers. Recent successes in this area has
seen Burton’s lead on the 100 calorie portion size for kids snacking and
the first major biscuit brand with Maryland Cookies to launch a Sugar
Free Biscuit.
NEW BURTON’S
We are on a continuous exciting journey to improve what we can offer not
only to each other, but also to our customers in how we bake even more
exceptional biscuits. In order to continue this journey, at the beginning of
2019, we were proud to announce we have completed the purchase of a
very talent baking company called Thomas Fudges. Thomas Fudges own
some incredibly exciting brands & make even tastier biscuits, covering both
sweet & savoury. In doing this, it allows us to increase our portfolio &
baking capacity, meaning we are now in an excellent position to offer even
more value.
Also in 2019 we acquired the Scottish Bakery Brand Paterson’s. This will
increase our baking capabilities across a number of new sweet and savoury
categories.

As we continue on our exciting journey, we want passionate people to

Our CEO Nick field started working for Burtons Biscuits in 2004 as our
Commercial Finance Manager, 14 years later and 7 promotions. Nick is
now helping shape the future of Burtons Biscuits.
Like Nick, we would always look at ways we can offer you the opportunity
to grow & develop, this could be through completing professional
qualifications or attending external training courses, you’ll most certainly
get the chance to work on exciting new projects and take on bigger roles
within the business.
