3. With our Text under consideration
1. His prisoners had escaped, the jailer was about to kill
himself
2. Paul stops and prevented him from doing so.
3. Your judgement may be right as that of the jailer.
i. He almost tasted death.
ii. Death was so close
ii. Therefore needed salvation
4. He then asked, “What must I do to be saved”.
5. He saw death standing at him.
6. “Do thyself no harm for we are all here”.

4. 7. For his eternal life they told him vs 31- And they said, “Believe on
the Lord Jesus Christ and then shalt be saved”.
Now this same question is posing a very big challenge to
Christianity.
i. A lot of confusion surrounds this simple question.
ii. Answers to the question is itself a challenge.
iii.This confusion DO NOT COME FROM GOD (I Corinthians
14:33). But from the many false doctrine of men.
a. We need Bible proves to answer this.
b. Book, Chapter and Verse are needed for this purpose.

I – A PERSON IS NOT SAVED JUST BECAUSE:
A.He lives a good moral life.
1. Many atheist are morally good.
2. Cornelius was a morally good and religious man, but he still
needed salvation (Acts 10:2,5-6, 11:14)
B.He thinks he is saved (Matthew 7:22)
C.He attended some “Church”
1. Read 1 John 4:1 – False teachers
2. Matthew 15:9 – Jesus warn about vain worship.
3. You cannot be neutral when it comes to the way – Matthew 7:13-

CONCLUSION
1. Let us make sure that we have “ obeyed from the heart -

are lost in sin.
