2. Investing In Renewable Energy
Basil El Barouki is the managing director for Polaris Energy, where he
oversees operations in the marketing, business development, and private
investor divisions. He previously held management positions in the finance,
real estate, and mortgage marketplaces, including work for Countrywide
Bank. Basil El Barouki also founded Plastic Surgery Review with the goal of
providing information on doctors, surgeons, and industry updates.
3. Investing In Renewable Energy
Polaris Energy offers opportunities in renewable energy to institutional and
individual investors. The market for renewable resources has grown
exponentially in the last few years, and job opportunities have multiplied
along with it. Midwestern farmers are making more money from turbine
leases than harvests, and in California, solar installers are more prevalent
than than actors. The market has become so ripe for investors that several
Republican legislators who have historically supported the fossil fuel industry
have begun to lobby for renewable energy sources in the name of job
creation. Last week Republicans in North Carolina helped put down a bill
that would have phased out RES, standards which require electric utilities to
purchase some percentage of their power from renewable sources. This
important political shift is the best indicator of how profitable the renewable
energy market has become.
