Bi-lingual SLP
Provided therapy and mono-lingual and bi-lingual evaluations to elementary school aged clients in
English and Spanish on a daily basis. Caseload included: articulation/phonology impairments ,
language impairments ( in all five areas of language as well as processing difficulties), motor speech
therapy for childhood apraxia of speech, selective mutism, AAC evaluation, programming and usage,
voice therapy, fluency, and pragmatic therapies/social language therapy for children with autism.
Attended, presented at and translated IEP meetings. Stayed current with best practices and remained
familiar with current technologies in our field including: various iPad apps, imaging resources such as
spectrogram and internal video imaging sites, bio feedback, and softwares such as: ESE Star, Skyward,
PEER, Excel, Publisher, audiometers.
Connections, Family Centered Therapies (2012-2014) Syracuse, NY
Multi-lingual SLP
Provided itinerant therapy and evaluations to preschool and early intervention clients in English,
Spanish and Russian as needed. Cases included: traditional articulation and phonology therapy,
language therapy, motor speech therapy for childhood apraxia of speech, voice therapy, fluency, and
pragmatic/social language therapy for children with autism. Attended CPSE meetings. Used various
iPad apps for therapy and parent resources, softwares used: IEP direct, Client Connect and Kinney
Systems for recording data, writing notes and tracking progress.
Seymour Dual Language Academy (January 2012- May 2012) Syracuse, NY
Bilingual SLP extern
Provided itinerant speech therapy and evaluations to school aged children (k-5th) on full time daily
basis. Cases included: articulation and phonology therapy, language therapy, apraxia, selective mutism,
medically fragile children with concurrent speech issues, children with AAC devices, voice therapy, and
fluency. Presented at CSE meetings in English and Spanish. Utilized IEP direct to write Medicaid
notes, update IEP goals, and write report cards.
Syracuse University (January 2001- December 2002) Syracuse, NY
Adjunct Spanish Instructor
Taught beginning and intermediate Spanish language and conversation courses four to eight hours a
week, recorded grades, helped to create assessments and quizzes with others in the department at
program meetings, and arranged outside Spanish-language immersion cultural experiences for my
classes. Provided instructional coverage for my colleagues as needed/requested.
