PROJECT 1 SCHEDULE Weeks 1-3
Interpersonal Communication
All work is due by 11:59 PM on the day/date indicated in this schedule.

Sunday 1/13
1. Read: Assignment Sheet and Business Communication
Essentials Chapter 4, pp. 87-106, Chapter 7, pp. 162-169,
and Chapter 8, pp. 191-194
2. Study: slidedocs 1, 2, and 3 and Appendix A, pp. 398-406,
409-410
3. Compose the business correspondence package (letter,
email, and memo report) in one document file, separating
the parts with a page break.
4. Peer Review: Correspondence Package Due. Go to the Peer
Review Forum and follow the directions to post a draft of
your correspondence.
5. Go to Tools and Resources and decide from the options how
you will create the podcast. Do a test recording. If you
encounter a technical issue, follow troubleshooting steps.
Week 2
Tuesday 1/15
Go to the Peer Review Forum and follow the directions to
respond to a peer’s draft of business correspondence package.
Sunday 1/20
1. Read: slidedoc 4 and Chapter 6, pp. 150
2. Pick a presentation style/rule/concept for your audio
podcast and research it to write the script. Practice the script
and record your podcast.

3. Peer Review: Podcast Due. Go to the Peer Review Forum and
follow the directions to post your podcast.

Week 3
Monday 9/21 MLK DAY: UI is Closed
Tuesday 1/22 Go to the Peer Review Forum and follow the directions to
respond to a peer’s draft of the podcast.
Sunday 1/27
PROJECT 1 DELIVERABLES DUE. Submit your work as follows to
the submissions drop box:
1. Correspondence Package: submit as a single Word or PDF fie
with paragraph breaks separating each part.
2. Podcast: cut and paste the URL to your podcast in the
comment area of the submissions box or in a separate
document file.
3. To avoid a point penalty, verify your submission.
Do not rely solely on bblearn’s confirmation that your work
submitted. You need to check that your work submitted
correctly.
This means you need to go back to the drop box after
submitting your work and 1) open your document files, and
2) check that the URL will work by cutting and pasting what
you submitted into a browser.
