Step 1: Prototype development
- Seed pizza development
scientist will work in the lab to
develop one or more
prototypes.
- The scientist will usually set up
an experimental design to vary
ingredients at defined intervals
to see their effect on overall
liking, flavor, texture, and color.

We asked comments from friends, relatives and
our neighbors, people ages from 15 - 35. The
majority of them agree and choose with this
product.
16. Step 3: Prototype Modification
•Based on the results of the consumer testing, we
change the product with our idea, traditional pizza
replaced by seeds pizza.
•Just replace main ingredient (by Chestnut and Almond),
keep maintain sub ingredient (onions, bell peppers,
Mozzarella cheese).
•The taste and flavor of the pizza was changed but the
size and texture of the crust remain the same.

Once a final formula has been chosen, the product
development scientist will need to go to the plant
and “scale-up” the formula.
This means they will take the formula from the
bench-top (small batch process that makes a few
servings) to the plant (large batch process that
makes thousands of servings).

This phase is a very significant stage that
influences greatly to the final succeed of
products. So the food technologists should
invest more time, money, enthusiasm for
this phase.
Product Implementation
20. The main steps to make pizza
First step - Making the Pizza Dough
The step and most important step in making pizza is creation of dough by mixing
flour with water and or some other liquid (for example milk) and yeast
Second step - Preparing the Pizza
While the dough is growing you can prepare you topping ingredients, and preheat
the oven to 450°F for at least 30 to an hour. When the dough is ready, put it on the
surface that is slightly floured. With your hands stretch the pizza into oval shape
and flatten it to be 1/2-inch thick. The most common diameter of pizza is 10 to 12
inches.
Third step - Apply the Sauce and Toppings
With the dough prepared, now you can start adding sauce and toppings. After
sauce (which will give pizza moisture needed for the baking process) you can add
cheese and any other topping that you want.
Fourth Step – Baking
After you have finished with the toppings, pizza is ready for baking. The usual
amount of baking in a pre-heated oven lasts between 10 to 15 minutes. You will
know that pizza is ready when crust is browned and the cheese is golden.

22. Nowadays people tend to focus on eat more nuts
daily, so not only eating directly dried nuts but also mix
it with other food products to increase palatability,
nutrition, and attract customers.
After the process studying food product development
subject and spent time doing presentations, we have
taken steps to become familiar with making a new
product, clearly seen the advantages and
disadvantages from which could realize optimal
approach to developing a new product in modern
industry.
