OFFSHORE VS FREIGHT CONTAINER Prepared by Badaruddin
DEFINITION AS PER CODE
IMO – CSC 1972; Freight container are designed to cover the forces on containers
ecountered in general marine transport, loading and unloading in ports and inland
transport.
IMO – MSC/Circ. 613; Offshore container is portable unit, specially designed for repeated
use in the transport of goods or equipment handled in open sea to, from and between fixed
and or floating installation and ships..
