โข GJD has shifted its role of implementing independent projects to work with
exiting BRAC programmes/ departments/ enterprises for gender
mainstreaming and scale up the learning across programme for wider
impact
โข BRAC Gender Strategy 2016-2020 emphasizes on coordinated actions to
address violence against women & children and menโs engagement in
support of women's empowerment and gender equality across all BRAC
initiatives.
โข The GJD plan/interventions are closely aligned with BRACโs Strategy
2016-2020 which states โpromoting gender equality and womenโs
empowerment through integrated actions for womenโs empowerment
across programmesโ.
โข It is also linked with 7th five year plan of Bangladesh Government and
international context SDG 5,10 & 16).
