1. Opposite sides of a rectangle are parallel and have
the same length.
AB CD and AB = CD
AD BC and AD = BC
2. All four angles of a rectangle are right angles (90°).
 A =  B =  C =  D = 90°.

Based on the properties of a rectangle on above, then:
A rectangle is a quadrilateral with four right angles
and the length of the opposite sides are same.

 Circumference of a rectangle is the length of the outer lines on the
rectangle or the sum of all sides of the rectangle.

= 16 units of length
So, circumference of a rectangle with the

Circumference of a rectangle = 2p + 2l
= 2(p + l)

 Area of a rectangle is a measure of how much area or field that is in the
rectangle or the multiplication between the two sides of rectangle.
 Area of KLMN = KL x LM
= (5 x 3) units of area
= 15 units of area
So, area of a rectangle with the length p and the width l is

Generally, circumference of a square with the length of side s is
Circumference of a square = s + s + s+ s
= 4 x s
