National Children's Day - November 14
Significance
National Children's Day holds significant
importance as it serves as a reminder to
society about the value and well-being of
children. The day highlights the rights, needs,
and challenges that children face in various
aspects of their lives. It emphasizes the
importance of investing in their future,
promoting their welfare, and ensuring their
overall development.
This day also encourages individuals,
communities, and governments to prioritize
children's education, health, safety, and
emotional well-being. It is an opportunity to
celebrate children's achievements, raise
awareness about their rights, and advocate for
a nurturing and inclusive environment that
supports their growth and happiness.
Children's Day Speech Ideas for Teachers
Anecdotes
Anecdotes are the best way to hold attention.
Choose a child-relevant topic. Build an
interesting story around it and narrate it at the
beginning of your speech. Topics such as
friendship or honesty, ones that children are
familiar with hearing but need more light.
Once children are attracted to it, draw them
into the moral of the story with various other
instances.
Tips For Children's Day Speech
You can follow the below-given tips to
enhance your speech delivery on the occasion
of Children's Day Celebration.
Include quotes of Jawaharlal Nehru.
Share your personal experiences.
Tell the importance of celebrating children's
day.
Reason For Celebration
Although this is the conventional way of most
children's day speeches, it would be of a good
start if you begin recollecting the reason why
children's day is celebrated. Maybe you can
reframe the sentence interestingly with your
lilt. Ask "Does everyone know why children's
day is celebrated?" Once the audience
responds, elaborate on it and enjoy the
interactiveness.
Focus On Child Problems
This is the best time to enlighten the children
about child labor, child abuse, and other child-
related problems and teach them how to help
another child in need. Good habits such as
helping blind students write exams, offering
education to underprivileged children, and
other compassionate activities towards their
counterparts can be cultivated on this
occasion.
Share knowledge- Include the children rights
as per Indian Constitution.
Become A Child
All teachers have a barrier between them and
the children just to retain their respect. For
once, let your stern voice lose and talk in a
child-friendly manner. Use questions such as
'what is children's day?' 'why do we celebrate
children's day?' 'why do teachers entertain on
children's day?' and such simple questions
that children generally have on their mind.
Think from a child's point of view about the
hot topics in your school at that time. Work on
it and present it in an easily understandable
format.

responsibility of conducting events. So here

Celebrate & Raise Awareness For Children

1. List Of Children Rights: Children have a
right to a living standard, healthcare,
education, and good services. A kid has the
right to be safeguarded against abuse,
exploitation, prejudice, and neglect inside
and outside the home. They have a right to
play in safe areas, good child-rearing
practices, and recognition of children's
developing abilities. Children have the right
to freedom of choice, freedom of expression,
freedom of thought, freedom from fear,
freedom from parental control over their
bodies, and freedom from oppression. All
children's rights include the defence of
children's physical integrity.
2. Minors' rights: Minors' rights are impacted
by several situations, including child
prostitution, child pornography, child sales,
and military usage of children. Children are
partially under the control of their parents.
Children's rights acknowledge the basic
rights that all people have, including the right
to life, the rule against discrimination, and

Economic, social, and cultural rights for
children include the right to an education,
the right to a reasonable standard of living,
the right to health, and others. Individual
rights for children include the right to live
with one's parents, the right to an education,

Celebrate - Prepare Practice and Present
Celebrate National Children's Day with your
children at schools, in your community, at home,
and with your family. This special day is an
opportunity to cherish the youth and innocence
that children bring into our lives. To make this

protection of their interests Article 46: Right
of weaker sections of the people to be
protected from social injustice and all forms
of exploitation Article 47: Right to nutrition
and standard of living and improved public
health
4. How To Raise Awareness For Children
Rights? Teach the children about their rights.
Schools should conduct special sessions to
raise awareness among children. With the
help of plays and activities, make children
understand slavery, child abuse and their
rights regarding the same.
In recognition of your commitment to celebrating
children, you will receive an individual
appreciation certificate from UN Volunteers-
India. What makes this certificate even more
unique is that it is signed by Pandit Jawaharlal
Nehru, the former Prime Minister of India, who
played a pivotal role in establishing Children's
Day in India.
Remember that the celebration can extend
throughout the entire month of November,
allowing you ample time to prepare, practice, and
present your creative and meaningful
contributions. Whether it's a fun activity, an
educational event, or a heartfelt gesture, your
efforts in promoting the well-being and
happiness of children are truly appreciated.
Let's come together and make this Children's Day
in November a month filled with joy, love, and
learning for our young ones, as we honor their
importance in our lives and society.
