Dear Hiring Manager,
Please consider my application for your open position as an intern as advertised on your website. I am in my
senior year as a Business Administration major with a Psychology minor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical
University and expected to graduate in the fall of 2017. I believe that my education from this institution, as well
as, my related coursework will give me the qualifications I need to be successful in this position.
My work experience is based solely on hourly sales. At Dick’s Sporting goods, I have developed effective
communication skills and learned how to deal with being assigned tasks that need to complete by a deadline. At
Dicks Sporting Goods there are set sales goals, and I am achieving those goals on a very regular basis. In my
time with this company, I have been trusted to handle every department in the store. This proves ability to learn
a job very quickly and also quickly learn other jobs to handle different tasks, if needed.
The coursework that I have studied in my collegiate career have also prepared for me this internship. During my
time, I have taken basic marketing classes and also basic and advanced computing classes which have allowed
me to become proficient in Microsoft Excel and other programs. Also I have succeeded in all of my
management courses. As an intern for your company, I will be able to apply the skills I have learned directly to
the tasks at hand.
All of my experiences at my current job and with my coursework have molded me into more a customer-
focused associate. From knowing how the customer thinks, to knowing how to properly build a relationship
with customers. Along with all of the classes that I have taken. I look forward to the opportunity to present my
