To educational activities within a company created to enhance the knowledge and skills of
employees while providing information and instruction on how to better perform specific tasks
Orientation is important because it: Provides the new employee with concise
and accurate information to make him/her more comfortable in the job
Training Process Steps
It is the process of teaching new employees the basic skills they need to perform
their jobs
Training fosters employee learning, which results in enhanced organizational
performance.

 Employee Development is future oriented
Employee development
is defined as a process where the employee with the support of
his/her employer undergoes various training programs to
enhance his/her skills and acquire new knowledge and skills.
This method includes developing employee skills through a
combination of lectures, hands-on-exercises, videos, podcasts,
simulations, and individual/group-based assignments.

up 70 percent of training, relationship-based guidance uses 20 percent and formal training (programs,
web resources etc) 10 %
