This presentation discusses using waste plastics to stabilize soil. It introduces soil stabilization techniques and why plastics could be used. A case study was conducted where plastic strips and bottles were added to soil samples at different percentages. Tests measured properties like liquid limit, plastic limit, density, and California Bearing Ratio. Results found adding up to 1.5% plastics increased strength and density. The study concludes using plastics for soil stabilization is cheap and helps improve soil properties for construction while reducing plastic waste.
