Career History
Daleream Limited - Business Development – September 2010 to present
I am responsible for managing the groups various websites, social media, SEO and on line advertising
spend. On a day to day basis I liaise with external businesses and company employees to ensure new
projects run smoothly from their inception through to launch.
Within the group we operate various car retail sites, car buying divisions and non motor related websites. I
have gained a wide range of skills in my current position from dealing with consumers directly buying cars,
dealing with trade buyers both when selling cars through the trade and selling the benefits of our on line
car buying web site for Car Dealers.
DisplayPak Limited – Account & Business Development Manager – July 2008 – September 2010
At Display Pak I was responsible for new business development and existing customer account
management in the temporary point of sale sector. Starting with extensive print experience but very
limited knowledge of point of sale, I quickly built up my own knowledge of the industry to enable me to
offer potential clients advice on which of our products would be suitable for their needs. From a standing
start, not taking any clients with me from my previous role I quickly built up a portfolio of clients spending
in excess of £250,000 a year. When I joined the business had entered a period of consolidation where we
had to source new, reliable suppliers & partners and develop our own internal production facilities,
something which I became heavily involved with to help the company meet its production targets and
customer demand. My Clients included: Kelloggs; Epson; HP; Polar; HSBC; Supagard; X Vision & Nespresso
Springfield Solutions Limited – Account Manager – July 2003 – July 2008
At Springfield I was responsible for existing account management and new business development in the
reprographics and self adhesive label printing industry.
I had to ensure the day to day running of the customers accounts met and exceeded their expectations by
delivering projects on time and within budget. Existing accounts I managed included Crown Paints (Akzo
Nobel); Ronseal; SHS International; Reckitt Benckiser Healthcare. Accounts I helped bring to Springfield
included Johnstone Paints; Sinclair Pet Care (Beaphar) and Arjo Wiggins.
The main focus of my role was ensuring we remained the supplier of choice to our existing clients. This was
in the face of very tough competitors, who as ex employees of Springfield had direct access to our clients. I
am very pleased to say we had a 100% record in retaining our customers, because of our excellent
customer service, exceptional staff and I strongly believe because of my own ability to build relationships
across our clients businesses from warehouse staff that may have different business issues to marketing
directors and procurement directors.
2. Reckitt Benckiser Healthcare Limited – Packaging Technologist – October 1997 – July 2003
At Reckitt Benckiser I started as a junior packaging technologist and through my consistent performances
on project work and passing the Institute of Packaging Technology Diploma I progressed to become a key
member of a valued team. My role did include developing new packaging and helping with line trials to
ensure production lines ran smoothly but this was a small part of my job, my core area of expertise was in
managing the implementation of new graphics design projects. This included liaising with the marketing
departments, design agencies, reprographic companies and various printers to ensure new designs were
ready for a product launch that will have been planned sometimes years in advance. Accuracy was crucial in
the role not only because I was working on the number 1 & 2 brands in the field but also because the
products were of a medical nature and as such the packaging graphics and text had to meet stringent
regulations.
My biggest achievements at Reckitt Benckiser include managing the Global redesign of the Dettol Brand, I
was responsible for ensuring the Dettol Brand graphics remained consistent throughout the world.
I was also a key figure in the implementation of the re-launch of the Gaviscon brand in the UK, with a
complex design that proved a challenge to reproduce to the quality expected of the brand management
team.
My work on another project, a drug called Suboxone helped the Brand and Legal team submit the product
to the FDA in America (in a very short timescale) which resulted gaining approval to sell our products in the
USA, a huge market for a product that helps treat heroin addicts.
