AUTOMATIC TRANSFER SWITCH
As part of Generator automation in our college, an automatic changeover switch is being designed and
fabricated in the machines workshop. The main assemblies developed include a Hylam Motor, Hylam
frame, Contact bar, Motorized actuator etc. The project is headed by Shri. Vijeesh and is actively support­
ed by Shri Raveendran Nair and Shri Manikantan.
The switch functions as an automatic changeover between the standby power generator and KSEB Mains
