10. 2. POSITIVEATTITUDE
• There is little difference in people, but that little difference makes a big
difference. The little difference is attitude. The big difference is whether it is
positive or negative.
• CT FINAL 2013
• Dhoni: Before going in I said, let's first of all get rid of the feeling that it's a 50-
over game. It's a 20-over game, and we have seen in IPL and in T20 formats,
130 runs can be a difficult target to achieve. Secondly, nobody looks to the left of
the pavilion. That's the side that the rain was coming from. So, I said God is
not coming to save us, If you want to win this trophy, we'll have to
fight it out. We are the number-one ranked ODI side, so let's make
sure that they have to fight for these 130-odd runs. Don't look for any
outside help.
13. Having Confidence in team members
• Dhoni believed that if a player is in Indian team then he has
something in him. It doesn't matters if he is going through a rough
phase, what he needs is a little extra push. We all know if we are
down we just need a pat on the back saying that yes you can do it. If
we have someone in like doing that for us, things will be much
easier.
• The perfect example of Dhoni showing confidence in his team
member is selection of out of form Yuvraj for world cup. Every one
was disappointed about the fact that he was picked up for the 15
member squad, but what was the result of it, he was the Man of the
Series of ICC WC 2011.
15. 6. LEADING FROM THE FRONT
Inspirational, instinctive, impulsive, intriguing style gives the winning edge
The fist real thing that differentiates a
good leader from a bad one is how they
understand the concept of leadership
itself.
If you expect your team to work hard

going to lead by example. There is no
greater motivation than seeing the boss
down in the trenches working
alongside everyone else.
