This document provides an overview of a pneumatic bicycle project. The pneumatic bicycle is designed to be operated by air rather than manually, making it useful for handicapped individuals. It works similarly to a manual bicycle but uses a double acting cylinder and crank case powered by compressed air. While automatic, it can also be switched to manual operation if needed. Future improvements could include adding flexible seating, a secondary air compressor, suspension, and addressing current disadvantages like limited range and lack of braking.

3. Intro - Pneumatic Bicycle
• This project is to run the bicycle without manual
help, but by means of air.
• The conceptual design of this model is taken from
manually operated bicycle.
• The complete body looks like a bicycle in which
manual operation followed but this product use air,
so it is called as pneumatic bicycle.
• It useful for handicapped people, and also normal
persons..
4. Idea Development
• It is generally used by those who have difficulty walking or
moving frequently from one place to another (Handicapped
people).
• Wheel chair are available in variety of designs, those
intended for outdoor use, so to use it automatically this
thing is developed.
• This cycle is different from a manually operated wheel
chair, as source of supply is air which utilize freely
available air as the working medium that is to transmit
power from the source to destination.
• A tricycle is an air-operated one-person capacity vehicle
that is specially designed for low mobility.
5. Previous version
• In the previous version all had developed the
wheel chair which will move by hand feed.
• The people want to
rotate the chain wheel by
means o hand so then
only the cycle will move.

• We done the
same, but we had
attached the
double acting
cylinder, crank
case to run the
vehicle .
7. Advantage Of Pneumatic Bicycle
• It is flexible and easy to drive and control due to its
simple construction as that of a bicycle and light
weight.
• It is automatic as well as manual in operation.
• In case if the automatic operation fails or
discontinues in case of inadequate air supply, the
operation can be switched to manual mode
• It has compact structure and aesthetic shape.
• It is intended for indoor and outdoor
8. Disadvantage Of Pneumatic
Bicycle
• It cannot be used for long distance.
• It cannot be used effectively in uneven road
conditions due to the possibility of
disturbances in the alignments.
• Lack of braking system.
• Vibrations in the system can cause
disturbances in the running mechanism.
9. Future Scope
• In future we can use flexible seating arrangement.
• In this pneumatic bicycle we can use high power
motor and the secondary compressor for storage
purpose in case of emergency.
• We can use suspension system.
• This bicycle is very flexible and can be modified
according to once interest.
• In future this bicycle can used for normal people and
the disadvantages are rectified.
