Dear Mr. Driscoll:
I am writing to tell you about a new company that has developed a new method for
manufacturing items, (patent pending), at 65% of the normal cost, while maintaining or
increasing the quality.
I am searching for a potential investor to obtain financing in the amount of $340,000 to
complete product development, set up manufacturing, and implement an aggressive marketing
program for our company. Big picture Products is willing to offer equity return for investment in
the company. I have attached an introductory business plan with important information I would
greatly appreciate you taking the time to review.

4. BUSINESS PROPOSAL 4
Executive Summary
The purpose of this business plan is to obtain financing in the amount of $340,000 to
complete the product development, set up manufacturing, and implement an aggressive
marketing program.
Big Picture Products (BPP) is a new company that has developed an efficient method of
manufacturing ceramic mugs imprinted with color photographs that are both high-quality, and
low-priced. The major markets for this new product are located throughout the United States and
Canada and include any business that attends or exhibits at trade shows, conventions, and
conferences, and any business that manages trade shows, conventions, or conferences.
A thorough market survey revealed that no other company could produce these imprinted
mugs as cheaply as BPP without compromising quality. BPP can manufacture the products
cheaply here in Eugene, Oregon, because of the availability of inexpensive, but reliable, labor,
low building costs, and availability of cheap raw materials.
BPP is willing to offer equity return for investment in the company. BPP will also
consider other arrangements to obtain the necessary finances.
*No guarantees are expressed or implied regarding the success of this venture described in this
business plan.
5. BUSINESS PROPOSAL 5
Background
The purpose of this business plan is to raise the financing necessary to further develop,
manufacture, market, and distribute ceramic mugs imprinted with color photographs, which can
be used by businesses as promotional items. The printing method developed by Big Picture
Products (BPP) is unique in the promotional and expressions market.
Promotional mugs have long been a favorite among North American companies that are
exhibitors at trade shows, conventions, and conferences. Most companies agree that they are
effective as part of an overall marketing strategy, but those same companies complain about the
cost of the items and often feel that they do not get enough “bang for the buck.”
BPP, a newly formed private company in Eugene, Oregon, developed a method for
manufacturing these items at about 65% of the normal cost while maintaining or increasing the
quality. BPP can achieve such low costs because of:
new method for manufacturing the items (patent pending).
low cost of high-quality labor in the Eugene, Oregon, area.
the low cost of building—including the low-cost of rent, housing, office space, storage
facilities, and other real estate—in Eugene.
proximity of Eugene to major ports.
BPP has developed prototypes of its currently planned product, and is engineering new
products. Now the Company needs $340,000 to complete the development of its current product,
to set up a manufacturing plant, and to establish a sales and marketing program.
In addition to the $340,000, BPP will use revenue generated from initial sales of the products and
$112,000, supplied by the four Company principles, to cover the total financial requirements for
the first year of operation.
6. BUSINESS PROPOSAL 6
BPP is prepared to offer common (voting) shares in return for the investment. The
Company is also prepared to consider other forms of financing such as debentures, preferred
shares, or other arrangements.
The Company
Big Picture Products (BPP), Inc., was incorporated in the State of Oregon of the United States of
America on January 8, 2009.
The Company business address is:

Market Analysis
The current major markets for BPP to achieve the greatest sales potential in the
shortest period of time are located the United States and Canada. Prospective
customers include any company that attends or displays exhibits at trade shows and
similar events. As part of its initial marking strategy, BPP will access these companies
through:
direct mailing to companies who have recently exhibited at the top 50 trade
shows in the US and Canada
telephone calls to these companies
direct contact with companies the northwestern United States
attendance at trade shows in the promotional products and expressions market
160 companies have already expressed interest in BPP products. All 160 companies
have seen BPP products, like their look, feel, and durability, and mostly like the price.
BPP has letters on file from all these companies expressing their intent to purchase
products, totaling 110,000 units.
Market Size
In the United States and Canada, over 20,000 trade shows, conventions,
and major conferences are held each year, with over 500,000 large and small
companies buying exhibition floor space at these events. About 40% of these
companies purchase promotional products to give to potential customers. The
total annual expenditure for such items in North America exceeds one hundred
million US dollars. And the market is expected to grow by 30% over the next five
years.
Sales Forecast
The sales forecast shown in the table below is an estimate based on the rate of
positive responses from target companies and on the potential for increased market
penetration.
Year Unit Sales
First Year 210,000
Second Year 480,000
Third Year 1,116,000
Note: Year 1 will commence about six months after financing has been arranged.
