INTRODUCTION
We must remember that India did not get independence overnight. It was a struggle of
almost 200 years!
Our countrymen had to go through myriad difficulties to achieve the freedom and fighting
someone so strong was not an easy task.
The entire country played became a battle field and everyone contributed in every possible
way.
This is why Indians throng to these places of remembrance, glorious memory capsules of the
valiant effort that played a crucial role India’s independence struggle.
India has plenty of patriotic places to visit and every state has more than one such place.
These locations have historical significance, which will make you feel proud to be visiting
them. Even writing about these places is making me feel their spirits.

 The people of Andaman and Nicobar are divided mainly into two categories indigenous tribal people and outside settlers.
Both classes have different traditions and cultures, which creates a beautiful combination. The indigenous tribes are mainly
hunters or horticulturists and do not have much contact with outsiders. In short, the culture of Port Blair is a blend of
indigenous cultures of the Negroid and the Mongoloid settlers here and the culture of descendants of the early settlers from
the Indian mainland as well as the migrants.

The Andaman & Nicobar being a fusion of all Indian cultures is home to a wide variety of cuisine including South Indian, Bengali, and Andhra
varieties. Andaman cuisine is heavily influenced by all the cultures that came into contact with the region. Like many other aspects of
Andaman culture, the influence of the Hindu, Christian, Muslim and also Sikh religion in the traditional food is extremely strong. You must

 The natives were engaged in Agriculture, forestry, and fishing. Agriculture is the occupation of most of the residents of the
Andaman Islands. Main crops consist of rice, coconuts, betel (areca nuts), fruits, and spices. Rubber, oil palms, and cashews

marine life, and tropical forests. Researching the islands before you land here will make your visit
more enjoyable.Use the dustbins and garbage receptacles for disposing of all garbage and rubbish.
Do not throw them in parks, on beaches, into the sea, or in public places. Please help keep the
Andaman Islands litter-free. Carry important documents like passport, permit, and driving license with
you while traveling in the Andaman Islands. It is not advisable to leave them at the hotel or resort.
