2. Party Scene:
To emphasise our teens
reckless behaviour, we
decided this non-diegetic
soundtrack would suit their
party animal behavior. We got
the inspiration from the film
‘’Project X’ which too is
featured around the reckless
teenage life as they throw one
of the best parties ever.
3. Nursery Rhyme:
To include contrapuntal sound we
wanted to include a nursery rhyme.
This would vary our choice of
soundtracks and highlight our
understanding of contrapuntal sound.
We thought the nursery rhyme ‘teddy
bear picnic’ would suit our trailer well
as it includes lyrics about a forest,
which is where our slasher is set.
Furthermore, we chose to use this
version as it sounds creepy and
sinister compared to a child's voice,
we felt it fitted our slasher the best;
4. Heartbeat:
We would also like to include a
heartbeat soundtrack in the
montage section of our trailer.
This will mirror both the
character’s heart and also the
audience’s. It adds to the thrill
and anticipation as we fear for
the characters lives. It is also a
common convention of slasher
trailers to feature a heartbeat
soundtrack.
