16. • Current group-, role-, or user-level security rules – Tableau Server
serves as a gateway to the world within AXA. We are taking steps right
from the get-go to ensure Site Admin understands Security levels and
rules.
• Current process for managing data quality – With the ability to
create extracts we are educating Report Developers to tap into existing
data extracts that are spun up in the Server and add new sources for
enrichment of the reports.
• Storage of current, historical, summary and transactional data –
Taking backup in DR Server along with weekly backup to external PVCS
Version Manager tool we are safeguarding all data.
17. • Development and promotion of best practices that is sharable via
Intranet by creating Blogs, Wikis, Bookmarks, and Shareable
Workbooks.
• Established bi-weekly mentoring sessions where the Data Visualization
team comes together and shares new discoveries made while using
Tableau.
• Established more frequent Training and support on both Desktop and
Server components
• A continuous campaign to promote analysis development and culture
via Digital Bulletin Boards, Video Broadcasting, Participating in
Technology Days, and Coordinating Tableau Day at AXA
18. • On-boarding new LOB’s by creating detailed documentation for users
to get them up and running on Tableau
• Educating each LOB to enter details in Data Dictionary for easy access
on the Intranet/Portal.
• Provide well-documented How-to documents, templates, and style
guides to adhere with AXA’s Marketing & Publication standards.
• Process for workbook promotion to the Production environment by
taking steps that adhere to Security standards in place.
• On-going Tips and Tricks sessions from internal users.
19. • Current life cycle management including improving existing steps.
• Making reports available to mobile consumers – not just iPad but
other platforms such as Android and Phones.
• Establishing quarterly Training Sessions apart form on-demand needs.
• Creating “Center of Excellence” around Data Visualization.
• Encouraging involvement in external User Groups to gain
understanding on how others are embracing Data Visualization by
breaking the barriers of limitations.
