ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES:
There are 10 Labs in the department, with all necessary
equipments, Chemicals and glasswares in Pharmaceutics,
Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy and
Pharmacology along with Machine room and Central
Instrument lab with sophisticated equipments HPLC and UV-
Visible Spectrophotometer.
LABORATORIES:
Sagar Institute of Pharmacy and Technology (SIPTec) is providing B. Pharmacy (4 years) and M. Pharmacy (2 Years)
technical course that functions on the guidelines of R.G.P.V., AICTE and PCI.
The B. Pharmacy course comprises the study of subjects like Pharmacognosy (Study of the drugs derived from natural
sources), Pharmaceutics (Study of the methods of formulation of various dosage forms like tablets, capsules, syrups etc.),
Pharmacology (Study of the effects of drugs to the body) and Medicinal Chemistry (Study of the chemical structure and
derivatives of drugs). Along with these core subjects some allied subjects like Microbiology, Biochemistry and
Pharmaceutical Biotechnology etc. are also taught during this phase. The purpose of the design and conduct of B. Pharmacy
is to grant the complete knowledge to its student about the entire process to develop a drug and its dosage and make it
available to the patient. The completion of B. Pharmacy from a PCI u/s 12 approved institute also makes the scholar eligible to
get registered under the respective state pharmacy council which issues a Pharmacist registration certicate to the scholar.
SIPTec offers PCI approved M. Pharmacy with specialization in Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Chemistry. These
subjects offer a very wide range of scope to its scholars in every sector of Pharmaceuticals like Research and Development
(R & D), Production, QA/QC, Academics etc.
