11. Examples: (look up four letter words for scrabble
on the internet)
ACNE, ACHE, ACID, ALAS, AJAR, ANTI, ASKS
BABE,BANK,BARK,BITE, BORE, BUFF, BRAT
CAKE, COLA, COLD
DEAD, DOLL, DUSK, EASY
etc.
Task – On one page make a collage of written
text alongside magazine and newspaper
cuttings of four letter words.
12. Task 2
1. Make sure your piece of paper or drawn out square is equal.
Use a ruler to measure and to draw out.
2. Divide your paper into 4 by lightly drawing lines with a ruler.
3. Choose a 4 letter word (that isn’t offensive!)
Examples: (look up four letter words for scrabble on the internet)
ACNE, ACHE, ACID, ALAS, AJAR, ANTI, ASKS
BABE,BANK,BARK,BITE, BORE, BUFF, BRAT
CAKE, COLA, COLD
DEAD, DOLL, DUSK, EASY
etc.
4. Ensure each letter fills the space (as in Robert Indiana’s ‘Love’
image). The second letter needs to be turned on it’s side. The letter
outlines sometimes blur into each other.
5. Note the colours that have been used. The main text is one
colour. The insides of the letters are black and the back ground is
divided by two colours (often contrasting).
