2. THE FUTURE OF APPLIANCE UX? (1/3)
 I believe that all appliances can be a component of the smart
home based on the artificial intelligence and big data they
produced every day. So that we can meet AI based smart home
in the near future. We sell the product but the most of
unattractive appliance can be a component of the home, so
that they cannot visible in you daily life. We called them built-in
type appliances now.

 But eventually, they can become an interface between home and human.
Yes, we can call wine cellar to bring us a couple of wines and we can ask
washing machine to bring me new clothes to wear on tomorrow. Yes .. some
manufacturers produce a robot to help people who need help. But I
imagine that all appliances become a robot which wears a suit like an
appliance such as refrigerator, washing machine, microwave and etc. Each
of them has a brain, hands and, what is more, feet. Yes right, when they can
have mobility what Auto makers have developed so far, they can become
robots but different appearance we are familiar with.

 Refrigerator can arrange every food and vegetables what I
expect to arrange in order by itself. It can order food items that
need to refill automatically. It delivers some food kept inside from
the place where it is to where I am.
 I believe that all of the appliance will become a robot, I can say
that this kind of concept is Appliance Robot, in short, physical
‘App-bot’.

5. THE FUTURE OF SELF-DRIVING CARS? (1/2)
 I can say that car is not machine any more in the near future. When it has an artificial
intelligence inside, we don’t need to drive by ourselves with the skill that has learned
since we got the driver’s license. Conceptually, we don’t need to care about road
and time anymore.
 Today we don’t care about network for the internet connection. We do sometimes in
the wild conditions. We use smart phones every day without any difficulties. That’s the
same way we could be served from the car-service environment.
 The AI in the car or the connected AI outside, can check road condition and any
accident of my route today, weather, traffic and social activities such as big events
from the news in the local and national calendar.

6. THE FUTURE OF SELF-DRIVING CARS? (2/2)
 We could just decide which driving intelligence we will choose for today
among Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Bixby and etc in the near future.
 I can define this type of future car as mobility robot, in short ‘Mobi-bot’, like
the same way I named in the previous interview.
 During staying in this Mobi-bot, we can enjoy movie, eat some hot/cold food,
drink some beverage, even we can sleep in the safe driving mode.
 To extend this concept, we can apply this idea to the ship, submarine,
airplane and personal mobilities. I believe that all of the moving object can
be a ‘Mobi-bot’ at last.

7. SKILLS OF UX DESIGNERS TODAY? (1/2)
 As far as skills of UX designers are concerned, I believe that having INTEGRATION
SKILLS is fairly important. This can be the integration of a service and a product based
on the Robotics, AI, IoT and AR. But the key technology for the next trend is definitely
both a robot technology and an artificial intelligence. The aim is to create new
experience or to improve usability, designer needs to unify the two or more to
converge and merge them.
 For example, If I want to go somewhere for business, designer propose a solution like
smart car or smart mobility. But I want to ask young designers to think in an innovative
way, Audi’s latest concept, ‘Pop-up next’, is converging those two mobilities in one. In
this case, it needs to create fairy new UX and new interface out of them.

8. SKILLS OF UX DESIGNERS TODAY? (2/2)
 Apart from that, it is essential to pick the appropriate technology. To do that, the
designer requires evaluation skill, what new technical solution can do for human
or cannot. And for the targeted benefit to the user, he/she needs to create some
new features or functions list to lead new solution perfect for the user’s job and
task.
