Desert Road Security (DRS) are a leading Iraqi

Assessments and full trip facilitation including
airport transfers are just the beginning of a

Environment Security Training (HEST) and can

OUR CAPABILITIES
Desert Road Security currently has PSD and
Static Security teams on a wide and varied
number of tasks throughout Iraq, operating
both on and off of all concession areas. We can
offer bespoke security solutions tailored to the
individual needs, from the single security guard
to a complete security package.
Due to our unique position in the local (and
International) community of being a 100% Iraqi
owned company, our interaction with local
stakeholders enables us to recruit high quality
staff at short notice. From our base in Basra
COB we conduct training for all new and
returning staff to ensure that our teams are of
the highest quality, both existing and new
teams benefit from the facilities and resources
in the location, thus allowing for the cross
pollination of skills.

All Desert Road Security Staff operate under
International and National Law, such as (but not
limited to): Rules for the use of Force, The
International Code for Private Security Service
Providers, The Voluntary Principles on Security
and Human Rights, Desert Road Security’s Code
of Conduct and Desert Road Security Standard
Operating Instructions. Furthermore Desert
Road Security adopts the United Kingdom
Bribery Act as its standard over others in the
field of anti-corruption, and Iraq Employment
Law as its standard for employee relations.
OUR SOCIO-ECONOMIC PROMOTION
Desert Road Security will use local resources for
subcontracting of services, the purchase of
materials, supplies and equipment. We will
continue to engage with local companies,
holding procurement opportunity/information
sessions across Iraq, to maximize the
opportunities for Iraqi businesses.
We take a similar approach to developing the
abilities of our employees, we provide
comprehensive training to all Iraqi staff in all
aspects of security operations and
management. DRS currently employs 75% Iraqi
staff and will always use an Iraqi supplier where
possible. DRS will leverage this outstanding

Desert Road Security management have
managed project throughout Iraq since 2003,
they have developed incomparable region
specific expertise. Desert Road Security staff
has been the back bone of numerous
management teams covering a variety of

landmark elections in 2004/2005 and the

expertise. He achieved this by bringing together
former Special Forces and conventional military
