1. Since March of 2011, SeaGuard Security LLC (SGS) has specialized in providing
affordable armed security solutions for clients operating in high-risk areas including all
waters and Countries in the Indian Ocean region. In 2013 we began operating in West
Africa including countries from Guinea to Nigeria. The SGS regional hub for West Africa
is located in Abuja, Nigeria where we are a fully licensed security provider. All of our
security programs are designed to comply with International law enforcement standards
and the IMO ISPS Code and MSC Circulars 1405 and 1443. SGS is ISO 9001 certified and
ISO 28007 compliant.
Host country standards can be vastly different from one country to another. When foreign
operators are not allowed, SGS trains and supports local police and military personnel to
the same standard our clients have come to depend on. We maintain a large pool of U.S.
Coast Guard and Marine personnel as Team Leaders, Team Members and Trainers, all
trained to MSC Circ. 1443 standards. All of our employees are personally interviewed,
psychologically tested and assessed and trained to the high standards of SGS. We do not
use manning agencies for our personnel or other companies to perform our missions. Our
personnel are on long-term contracts and remain in theater for six or more months in
support of operations.
Our management team is comprised of military and law enforcement security experts with
over 25 years of experience. As consultants, we have written hundreds of client Security
Plans, trained over 1200 security personnel and are experts in ISPS, BMP4 and Flag
State/Port State regulations.
