2. Mission
Our mission is to provide the most
affordable quality sorting and inspection
services to the required standards as set out
in the automotive industry. We strive to
achieve 100% customer satisfaction and
always have the customers goals in mind.
To ensure the highest standard of product
reaches your customer to uphold our
customer’s reputation.
3. Why use AQSS (Pty) Ltd. ?
– Ideal conditions would dictate that sorting actions
do not take place, but with today’s fast-paced
production environment, small changes can lead to
major quality problems such as rejects or product
that requires reworking. Companies do not have the
time to focus on the extra activities required to
prevent a 100% defect free product from reaching
their customers as they mainly aim to achieve
production goals. We are the final “safety net” that
ensures that no defective material is shipped to the
final customer.
4. – Being independent has the following advantages:
• We are free from intimidation, “go-slow”actions or
pressures of attaining production targets. Customer
satisfaction and product quality is the goal.
• We, as an independent company, focus on the standards
required for the final product as required by the customer
and are not biased.
• We ensure rapid response times to assist you inside your
company or at your customer to minimise cost and loss of
reputation.
• We can pro-actively identify problem areas that cause
non-conformances, like operators, sorters, inspectors,
machines, or processes.

they are usually neglected due to time constraints and availability
of personnel.

14. Rework support
• Reworking of material during a sorting action can save
time as well as lower costs
– Whenever possible, reworking of parts can be undertaken if so
required by our customer. The only pre-requisite is that our
personnel be trained for this specific purpose.
– During sorting material that is rejected can be replaced and thus
make up good material. Saving cost on transportation and
rejections.
15. Customer Liaison services
• Having your finger on the pulse at your customer or
supplier is the key to less quality concerns.
– When launching a product or just generally during production it is
always advantageous to have a customer liaison available at your
supplier or customer.

16. OverviewOverview
• With lean manufacturing and high production and
quality expectations these days a lot of companies are
overextending their quality personnel, which leads to
less focus applied to more problems.
• Speciality Leather and Automotive seat components
17. FeaturesFeatures & Benefits
• Internal Audits
– Outside auditing for internal audits is acceptable to registrars,
as long as the companies documentation is used and the
Auditor is a qualified internal auditor for the specific
company.
18. • Problem solving
– Companies have all the tools, and resources to perform
problem solving, but usually only implement quick fixes and
not preventive fixes are applied.
– This comes from time constraints and biased opinions during
problem solving and not in-depth root cause investigations.
FeaturesFeatures & Benefits
19. • Sorting
– Ideal conditions would dictate that sorting actions do not take
place, but nowadays the production pressures are such that
suppliers sort on customer premises. (generally keeping their
own interests at heart)
– Containment actions: using the same personnel that caused the
problem in the first place leads to production constraints and
overtime for personnel. (Will they prevent problems?)

21. ApplicationsApplications
• Auditing

only requiring an internal auditor training session with your
company, I can assist in completing those outstanding audits
and following up on any corrective actions.
– Being an outsider can also have a different view on the system
leading to continuous improvement
22. • Problem solving
– having been in the industry for 15 years I have noticed, that
although all companies have the best problem solving
techniques they are rarely applied correctly.
– Constraints : time, production pressures, availability of team
members, personnel having pre-conceived solutions (quick
fixes), follow up of corrective actions after implementation.
ApplicationsApplications
23. • Sorting
– Due to production pressures material that was supplied just in
time, but that does not comply to certain quality standards,
ends up being sorted by the supplier on site at the customer.
– Having been part of those type of actions experience tells me
that suppliers are biased to their products and will still take
chances, leading to failures that reflect badly on the customer.
– External sorters are unbiased and will have the interest of the
party that employs them at heart.
ApplicationsApplications
24. • Sorting (cont.)
– Critical to sorts are the proper specifications and visual
samples.
– Reports created are not number crunching exercises that make
the concerns look smaller than they are.
– We try to employ personnel from local communities that have
previous experience, otherwise they are trained to the
standards required.
– Independent containment sorts highlight the concerns in-
house as to where problems are coming from and highlight
them.
ApplicationsApplications
