DRUGS
Drugs
Many people use drugs in their day-to-day life; some of these drugs are harmful to the
body, while others may help out in curing or preventing certain diseases when taken in certain
portions. At large, organizations and the government have come forth to educate people on the
effects of different drugs and how they will affect their social, physical, and psychological lives.
Drugs are divided into different categories by how they react to the body, and therefore the
author will focus on Hallucinogens and Synthetic Marijuana.
Hallucinogens are a class of medications that affect a person's perception of their
environment and their emotional responses. They are classified into two groups: dissociative
drugs and classic drugs these drugs; as much as they are hallucinogens, they tend to react
differently to the body. The dissociative drug is a bit aggressive, and it can cause the person
using it to feel disoriented or even lose control of themselves under the influence(National
Institute on Drug Abuse,n.d.The hallucinogens are extracted from plants and chemicals make
some in industries. The different types of hallucinogens include Psilocybin, Peyote, DMT,251-
NBOMe, PCP, Ketamine, Salvia, etc. Hallucinogens are mostly ingested, but some inject
themselves with them, while others even use them in their tea or food.
On the other hand, Synthetic Marijuana is a class of chemical compounds created by
humans and sprinkled on thawed, pulverized plant material to ensure potency when smoked.
These drugs have similar components found in marijuana; thus, they are named
"cannabinoids."They are supposed to replicate exactly what other drugs can do to the body,
though they tend to be more harmful to their effects and unpredictable. Synthetic marijuana is
very addictive. People who want to quit have severe withdrawal symptoms such as headaches,
nausea, depression, irritability, and anxiety that significantly affect them. When this synthetic

marijuana has overdosed, their blood pressure may rise, and there may be kidney damage that
may lead to failure. One may experience seizures and may behave or react to situations
aggressively.
These drugs often have the same effects, including experiencing hallucinations; when one
is under the influence of either of the drugs, they tend to create their own imaginary images that
may make them make unnecessary judgments that are pretty harmful. Both of these drugs affect
the brain's functioning by altering the perception and the reception of things. The heart rate
increases because of the substances making the body have anxiety and restlessness. Speech
problems may be experienced with both drugs incorporating disorganized thinking since the
mind is not in the right state.
There are also different effects that these drugs reveal. Synthetic cannabinoids can make
people have violent behavior that is not healthy socially since it can cause one to get hurt without
intention. Vomiting can also be experienced for synthetic marijuana users, which can make a
person be very uncomfortable waiting to have that relief after vomiting, which may not be there
later on. When using high doses of hallucinogens, memory loss may be experienced, this can
cause loss f damage to a person’s health condition. Inability to move is another hallucinogen that
can make the body numb, making people not feel their body parts. Respiratory and breathing
problems also come in handy with these drugs, and this may lead to death. Psychologically, the
effect of these drugs brings a lot of anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and it can also lead to depression.
Once a person is not okay psychologically, it means they are well-being is threatened, for they
may make decisions that may cost them their lives.
