To strengthen the University’s ‘Digital’ dimension we will:
• extend our digital teaching and learning strategy and our blended learning
approaches nationally and internationally
• enrich the experience offered by Stream, our online learning and
interaction environment, and offer a comprehensive programme of support
for staff and students
• enhance learning interactions through video-linked teaching, webconferencing and presentation tools
• explore the potential for Massey’s engagement in the emerging ‘Massive
Open On-line Courses’ (MOOC 3) environment
• build a rich programme and profile through the Distance Education and
Learning Futures Alliance.

course

  1. 3 campuses Base in P.Nth 5 Colleges CoHealth, CoS, CoB, CoHss, CoCA. 34,000 students equates to 19074 EFTS with about 47% distance
  2. In 2008 a business case was put forward to replace the current LMS WebCT with Moodle. This was due to the version of WebCT being obsolete and the vendor not providing any further support. The Stream Project would be implemented in a phased implementation process over the following 3 years.
