3. Hi!I’m Anders. This is my personal portfolio, which contains a small sample of my work
from the last couple of years at University of Southern Denmark. Before I introduce you for my
work, I would like to tell you a little more about myself.
I’m 23 years old, borned in Denmark and I currently live in Odense. In my spare time I like to
challenge myself both intellectually and physically and therefore I spend a lot of time doing sports
orplaying games with my friends. Between High School and University I spent 5 months in
Germany, where I stayed with a german family. I did some work in their company and spent a lot of
time with their children in order to learn german. Afterwards I conducted my 4 months of National
Service. Those experiences helped me to be a lot more self-confidence and independent as a
person.
Soon I’m going to graduate as a Bachelor of Engineering in Integrated Design, which is an
education with focus on developing special compentencies in product development, design,
construction and project management.
At august 2015 I’m going to study as a full time exchange student at one of Asia’s top universities:
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. When I return, I expect to have learned a lot more about
communication, different cultures and business in a global world. Furthermore I expect to gain
knowledge I would have been unable to achieve at University of Southern Denmark.

4. Our first semester project was about creating a product that could motivate
people in different age groups to joint activities in a new forest area
(Elmelund forest) in Odense. The project was on an idea and concept level
that deals with the following product requirement: The use of different age
groups, encouragement to physical activity, outdoor usage and perma-
nently installation in the forest.

Design a set of hand tools that represent Bosch Professional. The set of
hand tools had to signal the same values as their series of power tools.3

10. The objective of this project was to redesign a handheld motorised garden
machine, with the goal of an optimization of the product. The basis of the
project was a hedge trimme by Bosch, and the redesign was based on a
ergonomic and masculine perspective.4

12. A project where we learned how to write a marketing oriented business
plan about a self-developed product. The intention was to create a product
using an unique robot controlled cutting technology developed by Odico
A/S.
The project resulted in a modular plant box which Odense Flower Festival
(Odense Blomsterfestival) has shown some interest in producing.

14. Design til tiden
Designing a perfume flacon that can be sold at the museum Oranje Woud’s
shop. The shape of the flacon represents freedom and it has its lines from
the museum as well as from the Le Grande Arche made by the danish
architect Spreckelsen.

16. “Project 3.2” was our second project at third semester. It was a construction
project, where the task was to redesign a fitness machine for rehabilitation
of biceps and triceps.
The project consisted providing alternatives to a number of self-chosen
constructional components and calculating these from a mechanical point
of view.

18. The focus of this project was to use a “product development process” in
collaboration with a company. The project was done in collaboration with
the danish company BandCizer ApS. Our task was to develop the next
generation of their existing fitness tracker, where we still had to focus on
their patented technology. The technology makes it possible to monitor
rubber band workout.
During the different design stages we collected a lot of user- and measure-
ment data, which had to be analyzed further. The given data told us, that
we had to optimize its shape to provide a more accurate workout for the
user. Further we tried to “rebrand” their sensor because we experienced
a lot of misunderstandings when we talked with the users. They couldn’t
distinguish at what time we talked about the company BandCizer ApS
or the sensor with the same name BandCizer. Therefore we decided to
“re-name” it BandCizer EIR, where we had our focus at EIR. Finally we did
a lot of “material research” to provide the company and the users with the
best product experince as possible and still make it affordable to buy.

22. A project in collaboration with the journalist Preben Dahl and his two sons.
They wanted to create a watch, that should honour the american soldiers.
