Together with my team we have developed the concept of police network combating domestic violence.
Currently we are selecting candidates from the police units and soon will start the trainings.
We believe that domestic violence is a big and serious issue in Ukraine. Istambul convention hasn't been ratified yet. But we do not have time to wait. We have to act now,

18. Police network is formed mainly with
women police officers
who serve in prevention units of the National Police of
Ukraine(district and juvenile prevention officer),
investigation block and Patrol Police.
ToTs and trainings on identification of domestic
violence for 102 operators, patrol police officers and
mobile groups; training to develop communication
skills and gender-sensitive aspects of work with
survivors and perpetrators.
19. Developed algorithm of actions(internal and external
interaction) based on case management
mechanisms when 102 emergency hot-line operator
reports the case to patrol police which later on passes
the case to mobile groups specialized in
counteracting cases of domestic violence that work
closely with other stakeholders such as: shelters, social
service providers, centers for women and families,
municipal authorities, educational and medical
institutions and NGOs. Mobile groups also work closely
with the aforementioned stakeholder to prevent
domestic violence.
20. Strengthening interaction via inter-agency working
groups on conducting experiment in territorial
authorities of the National Police and holding joint
consultations on the implementation of UNSC
Resolution 1325 in district state administrations under
coordination of the sub-group «Prevention of conflict
and violence, and protection of women and girls
affected by conflicts» within the framework of MoIA
Inter-agency Working Group on developing Action
Plan on the implementation UNSC Resolution 1325.
21. Prevention of domestic violence in hromadas will be
based on соmunity policing approach that implies
public outreach events for hromadas, visiting crisis
families together with social service officers,
information classes for children and parents
conducted by School Resource Officers in
educational institutions.
22. To promote principles of gender equality and
combating domestic and gender-based violence the
launch of mobile groups will be supported with
information campaign aimed at raising the awareness
of the issue among Ukrainian public.
