The feasibility report proposes using insulated concrete form (ICF) construction to build energy efficient homes. ICF involves stacking lightweight foam blocks and filling them with concrete to form insulated walls. This provides a temperature controlled environment while saving energy by reducing heating and cooling costs up to 70%. The proposed construction method would use expanded polystyrene panels and plastic connectors to assemble the ICF blocks into walls. The target market includes commercial, residential, and disaster-affected areas. The estimated total cost to construct a 1,125 square foot single story home using this method is 2.2 million rupees.

Abstract:
The purpose of our project is to build energy-efficient houses. Construction of houses is the biggest
investment and where we spend majority of our time. So, it needs to be at comfortable temperature.
Insulated Cement Form provides temperature controlled environment and also saves energy.
Executive Summary:
Each year, number of new homes who choose to have their houses built with concrete and ICF
continuestoimprove. ICFisa constructionsystemwhereby lightweightfoamblocks,made of expanded
polystyrene(EPS), are stacked together to make up the desired wall shapes which are then filled with
concrete. We have brought ICF technique to build eco-friendly homes for a variety of market with:

Each ICF block consists of 2 Expanded Polystyrene panels held together by a series of specially
engineered plastic web connectors. ICF walls are assembled by stacking blocks on top of others.
Reinforcement steel is placed inside of the wall and windows/doors are formed.
