• Was born in Seoul, S. Korea
• Left Korea at the age of 4
• Moved to the Philippines – 4 years
• Moved back to Korea – 6 months
• Moved to California at the age of 9-10 and has been living

4. SO WHY?
• Have always left me wondering about my identity
• Observe the first person point of view of each cultures
• go deeper into the cross cultural culture that how I see as a Korean
and a Korean American

5. THESIS STATEMENT
I want to explore my cultural identity as a Korean American (a 1.5
generation) to show the different perspectives as a Korean and an
American

6. CONCEPT
• Focusing on two perspectives : Korean and Korean American
• Each perspective will talk about what they see, hear, and feel
about each other’s culture and custom
