Safety Policy

University of Peshawar
Statement of the Policy:
The school is committed to provide safe and
healthy environment in the school for the
pupil, staff members and all the workers of
the schools who are part of it.
Structure of the School Health and Safety
Policy
Health and safety in a school is a continues planned process and an
integral part of school management. That includes:
• Clear and understood objectives
• Involvement of stakeholders
• Clear plan and monitoring mechanism
• Flexibility for future arrangement in context of improvement.

is the establishment of the

1. Part of university of Peshawar
which makes it a standard institute
Lack of subject teachers, because which institute have to
hire visiting teachers from different other departments
Implementation of New courses like that of B.Ed(hons) which
boost the professional efficiency of upcoming teachers and is
a greater opportunity for I.E.R to grow up.
Centralization of all institutes and
departments of the university to the vice
chancellor because of which institute is
unable to use funds on its own accord and
need permission of the superiors which
effects daily expenditures and work
2. Highly qualified and professional
staff
Favoritism of few teachers towards students, which
effect their result at the end
Scholarship programs for students which effects the growing
rates of students enrolled in I.E.R
Building of I.E.R is on the very front of the
road because of which it has a greater
security risk.
3. Two main blocks for the assistance
of students equipped with modern
facilities.
No proper system for supervision for short term and long
term teaching practice which results in the wastage of
time for both students and teachers
Arrangements of seminars and conferences by I.E.R with the
collaboration of HEC Pakistan and with other institute and
departments is another opportunity to gain attention of the
outside world which increases its reputation.
High fee structure. It may divert students to
quit studies for higher education like that of
M.S or M. Phil
4. Facility of modern library for
students along with research
assistance for research scholars
Lack of health facilities like there is no handwashing soap
which is very necessary for cleanliness. More over it there
are air conditioners in the class room facilitating students
in summers but here is not heater for winter seasons in
the classroom for the warmth.
Students graduated from I.E.R is another opportunity for the
institute to gain interest of outside people who then wish to
get admission.
5. Co-ordination staff for handling
different problems of institute,
faculty members and students.
Use of Print and electronic media is also a great thing for the
advertisement of the institute.
6. Highly efficient administrative staff
Practical Arrangement of Health and Safety

• What kind of health and safety facilities you want to foster in your

• What kind of lessons you want to integrate in the curriculum of
different grades related to health and safety
• Enlisting events that you want to celebrate in your school related to
health and safety
• Activities for students for enhancing their awareness about health
and safety.
School Health Services:
Statement of the Policy
School is committed to provide healthy and hygienic environment in the school for the
students, staff members and all workers of the school.
Following are the part of School Health Services.
1. Hygiene
 Water purifiers
 Healthy food in the canteen
 Wash basin
 Hand washing soap
 Cleanliness staff
2. First Aid Room:
 First aid room in the School
 Having first aid box
 Access of students to mini first aid box
3. Dispensary+Doctor
4. Greenery
I want to suggest that
vaccination Process in the
schools for small kids must be
disclosed from the policies
because of the recent events
causes the death of many
innocent children.
There must be
wash basins and
hand washing
soap provided to
students near the
toilets so that they
can eat and drink
with clean hands
Co-Curricular Activities Related to Health
• Hand washing practice for small kids
• Blood donation for higher grade students
• How to use first aid box(practice in a month)
• Daily check on students own hygiene that their uniform, nails,
neatness and cleanliness.
• Drawing competitions raising awareness about health and hygiene.

School Safety Services
1. Exist routes
 There is a primary and secondary routes in the building, which are specifically
designed for evacuation process
• Hazards and Defect Reporting
 Defect book for recording and monitor defects
 Site manager handle these matters
2. Security
 All visitors are expected to the school office
 They have to sign the visitor book
 They have to wear identification badge
 Staff and pupils are encourage to challenge politely anyone who they do not
recognize who do not wear identification badge.
 CCTV cameras
3. Security Guards
 There are security guards for ground and upper floors
 They are equipped with all necessary security checking equipments.
4. Fire Safety
 There is termly fire evacuation practice, outcomes of which is recorded in fire
log book
 School monthly conduct fire alarm test.

school for students, staff members and all the worker of the
school.
keeping in view the security of all the users of the school,

Facility of modern library for students along with research assistance for research scholars Lack of health facilities like there is no handwashing soap which is very necessary for cleanliness. More over it there are air conditioners in the class room facilitating students in summers but here is not heater for winter seasons in the classroom for the warmth. Students graduated from I.E.R is another opportunity for the institute to gain interest of outside people who then wish to get admission. 5.
