READING
–KNOWLEDGE IS
INMPLETE
WITHOUT
BOOKS…
WHAT IS READING ?
• Reading is a skill to speak out
every word of an article with
an accent using different
expressions with exact
concentration.
WHY IS READING IMPORTANT?
• Reading is very important as far as learning English
is concerned.
• Reading builds our vocabulary.
• It improves our concentration and makes
our mind creative.
• Reading relaxes our body and calms our mind so
whenever you are free take an article to read.
• In my view , reading is the best way to get rid of
boredom.
IMPORTANCE OF READING
• Reading is very beneficial
to us because
• It encourages us to think ,
Imagine and understand.
• You will never get lonely or bored if you have a
book in your bag.
• I hope you have now known the importance
of reading, so whenever you are free , instead
of wasting time , pass your time reading a
book.
HOW TO MAKE YOUR READING
AFFECTIVE ?
• Check out the meanings of difficult
words in the dictionary.
• Survey the layout of your reading material. Look
at the title and headings , and piece together the
logical flow of paper . This framework will guide
you in reading the piece more carefully.
• Pick out the main ideas of a book by reading its
cover flaps and scanning the table of the contents.
Use index to quickly locate key words.
• Jot down quick notes , questions or thoughts that
will make it easier to refer to the material later.
HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR READING ?
• You should know what you are reading.
• Optimize your reading environment.
• Once you start reading do not stop.
• Sound out each letter as best as you can.
• Find the place to read
you can concentrate.
