• B2B e-commerce is simply defined as e-
commerce between companies . About
80% of e-commerce is of this type.
• Examples :
Mipro.com,Milacron Inc.’s website for
selling cutting tools , grinding wheels, etc.
to more than 100,000 small machining
businesses.
Business to Consumer E-Commerce
• B2C e-commerce ,or commerce between
companies & consumers, involves
customers gathering information ,
purchasing physical goods or receiving
products over an electronic network.
• Example:
Dell selling me a laptop
Consumer to Business E-Commerce
• C2B e-commerce is when consumers
present themselves as a buyer group.
• Example:
CTB & Speakout.com . These sites
provide consumer with market strategies &
business also uses them to gain insight
into customer wants.
Consumer to Consumer E-Commerce
• C2C e-commerce is simply commerce
between private individuals or consumers.
• Example:
Online market place , eBay.com . Here
consumers can bid for sell items of any
description for any price.
Advantages Of E-Commerce
 Faster Buying/Selling
 Buying/Selling 24/7.
 More reach to customers.
 Low operational costs & better quality
services.
 No need of physical company set-ups.
 Easy to start & manage a business.
 Customers can easily select products
from different providers .
Disadvantages Of E-Commerce
 Unable to examine products personally
 Not everyone is connected to the Internet.
 There is a possibility of credit card number
theft.
 Mechanical failures can cause
unpredictable effects on the total
processes.

“E-Commerce is an evolution”
By using electronic technology through the
internet , it achieved more competitions ,
more market places , faster transactions &
more advanced technologies.
To make activities between customers &
producers more active .We as customers
& internet users are responsible to keep
our e-commerce healthy & safe so that e-
business can be more reliable in the
future.
