This document contains the screenplay for "For the Love of Family" by Amba Royston. 4 INT.KITCHEN.DAY 4
A woman standing against a white background. There is
a table in front of her with food on it but we can’t see it
in the shot.
She is middle aged and looks like a house wife, wearing
an apron with a dress underneath. She slowly begins to
raise her knife as she chops the food in front of her. We
never see what she’s chopping but we can hear the sounds of
the knife cutting into the food. The cutting of the food
starts off slow and begins to get faster. As the women chops
the food, she barely looks down to see what she’s chopping.

5 INT.BEDROOM.DAY 5
A man is standing against a white background. There is
a suitcase in front of him but it can’t be seen. He is
middle aged and wearing a shirt and jacket.
He is stuffing things into the suitcase but we can’t see
what is being put in. We can hear the sound of him
stuffing something inside and patting it down to make it
fit. We can then hear the sound of him zipping up the
suitcase.
Title will appear in the space around the man packing the
suitcase- Casting and music.

6 EXT.GARDEN.DAY 6
A child is standing with a shovel in his hand against
the white background. There is mud on the floor but its
can’t be seen.
He looks young and is wearing a t-shirt and jeans. We
can see him digging up the mud and throwing it over
his shoulder. We can hear the sound of the boy digging into
the mud and throwing it behind him.

7 INT.LAUNDRY.DAY 7
The same woman standing against a white background. There
is a wash bowl in front of her that can be seen. It is
filled with dirt and blood.
She puts on a pair of washing up gloves and begins to
wash whats in front of her. We can see the wash bowl filled
with clothes that are covered in mud and blood. We can also
hear the sound of her scrubbing something.

The mother father and son are all standing together against
a white background.
They are still and staring at the camera with blank faces.
