Now the thing with Mission Statements, is that … *next slide* Note: Executive Sponsor is responsible to the business for the success of the project.
- If Mission Statements are done well, they provide Direction, an essential motivation factor for your teams. A realistic Mission Statement also gives the project a Clear Purpose.

The first question that I want to ask you is why did Mumtalakat migrate to AWS ? As technology is changing … To lead by example our Portfolio companies … To improve security .. Great mission statement. How much of your IT did you migrate to AWS ? We are now running All-In AWS … We got help from an AWS Partner … We split the migration into stages … We started with the easy wins …. And we got excited So you started with the easy wins, you got excited and then what happened ? We moved the rest of our workloads … We did it by ourselves with support from Partner ... You migrated by yourself. Can we talk about the training, the certifications of your team to achieve this ? We wanted to gain knowledge … We needed to get certified … to gain more confidence Today all members our team are certified … We are now helping portfolio companies in their migrations … Can you share with us the things that you feel worked for Mumtalakat and the things that didn’t ? We involved Project Management … We participated in various workshops … We focused on zero downtime … We missed application optimization for one of the systems then learned and implemented as a standard for all future migrations.
