1) Advise your client why a BPM approach should now become part of the way the organization
operates. (250 words)
Ans. Every businessoperations contain a set of process that are repeatedover and over again.
These processes make up the core of that business.
Within each business area either works with information of materials, sometimes both. The
data or materials is transformed. For example, raw materials may be manufactured into a
sellable good. Data may be transformed into a report. Every business area could possibly be
responsible for a significant number of process.
Business process management analyzes each of these processes. It looks at them individually
and it involves analyzing how the different processes impact one another. The idea is to get
good insights into the current state of these processesfirst. The next step is to identifywhere
these processescanbe improved.The ultimate goal ismaking the organizational more efficient
and effective. It is important to understand that business process management is not a task
management. Task are project related. Business process relate to the core operations of a
business. However, business process management could identify redundancies in the order
placing process at an online retailer.That could leadto a project that involvesresearchingand
selecting a new software packages.
2) Introduce yourclienttoBusinessProcessManagementbyclearlyexplainingwhatitactuallyisand
how it can help the business. Include an organizational structure chart to assist with your
explanation. (400 words)
And. A businessprocessis a logicallyrelatedset of activitiesthat defineshowspecificbusiness
tasks are performed. Business process are the ways in which organizations coordinate and
organize work activities, information, and knowledge to produce their valuable products or
services.Some ofthe keyreasons to have well-definedbusinessprocessinplace are to identify
what tasks are important to your larger businessgoals. Improve efficiencystandardize a set of
procedures to complete tasks that really matter to your business.
Operational manager has five years ofexperience,HRhas 20 years of experience,Procurement
manager has worked with same company for 2 years and seemsto have trouble inmaintaining
cohesive relationships with suppliers. R&D has 3 years of experience leading 5 staff.
Threats having competitorswho are equallyofferingservicesofequal qualityduring the past 2
years. Hence these are the core business process management that has to be maintained in a
company.
Part B: Problem Analysis
1) Your clientisaware thatthere are anumberof problemswithinthe companyandwhilstyour
client is happy for you to briefly describe these, he/she would like you to concentrate your
efforts on the problemwhich you determine to be the most critical or urgent. In relation to
this problem, your client would like you to identify the causes of the problem, the problem
and the consequences of the problem. (700 words)
2) Show the current critical/urgent ‘As Is’ process using the Bizagi Modeler software [BPMN
Diagram].Oryoucan use anyprocessdiagramonline portallikelucidchartetc. Note:Youcan
choose any option listed above for making diagram.
