2. Knife
In the opening of my horror/thriller film, the
antagonist’s main weapon of choice will be a knife. It
will be used by the antagonist to kill the protagonist
who will be the victim. This will depict the theme of
murder and will imply that the antagonist is homicidal.
A knife is a typical generic convention that is used
within horror films. Using a knife will allow the
audience to understand that the genre of the film is
horror.
3. Mask
A mask will be used for the film opening
because it will hide the identity of the antagonist.
This will clearly show the viewer that he is the
antagonist. It will hide his real emotions which
will make him more dark and threatening. It will
make the viewer speculate what the antagonist’s
intentions are and also what his personality is
like.
4. School Bag
A school bag will be used for the opening of
my horror/thriller film to show that the
protagonist is a typical upper school student. It
will also make it more believable for the
audience that he is a student. Also, it implies
that the student is still full of youth and
potential.
5. Phone
A phone will be used for the opening of my
film opening because it is a device that will
allow the narrative to move forward. It will be
used by the protagonist to call someone.
