2. MUSIC
The first type of magazine I considered for my regional magazine genre was
music. As the North East have multiple music venues, such as Metro
Radio, the O2 academy, think tank, times square and many more, it
makes our region a popular place for bands and artists to perform. As
well as this, as the North East is a popular place for many students to
move to for university, from my own experience and knowledge, I know
that students especially will be interested in the music genre so I would
have a good and big range of people for my target audience.

3. Fashion is also a genre I am
considering for my regional
magazine. This is because the
North East has many big fashion
outlets and shopping centres,
such as Newcastle, the Metro
Centre and The Bridges in
Sunderland. I also feel a fashion
magazine will appeal to the big
ppopulation of the female
students throughout the North
East, As I would promote and
advertise the best deals and
discount throughout the North
East for students.

4. I also feel that a lifestyle
magazine would appeal to a large
population in the North East. It
would include different activities
and hobbies that can be found in
the North east, as well as tips and
advice. I think this would also
appeal to students, as it would
help them know what's going on in
the North East and what they can
be involved in.

5. IN CONCLUSION…
I have came to the conclusion that the genre of my magazine will be fashion
and lifestyle. This is because I feel I am more familiar with the contents
that a regional fashion magazine will offer, and that this will also
massively appeal to my target audience of students ages 15-19,
specially girls.
